Turbo arrives next week - serious concerns

We have a turbo delivering next week that we custom spec’d. I don’t think we’ve ever been more excited for a car.

But the amount of issues I’ve read and heard about on this site and others has me majorly concerned.

I had an early ix50 that turned into a brick and the buy back process as a nightmare.

Plan was to do a one pay lease but with the news of ICE coming back I dread the residual impact in a couple of weeks.

Would love to hear from TURBO owners specifically their experiences thus far. Both the bad and the good. Hoping there are many with no or limited problems.

i just took delivery of a 4s and the car is flawless, inside and out.

It’s easy to focus on all the potential problems so I took noted all the issues from this forum, wrote them all down and checked the car over thoroughly before handing over the money.

Then drove out of there and haven’t stopped smiling since.

It’s a great sporty handling small SUV. Quick, responsive, firm riding and very well built.

try to enjoy the moment and deal with anything when it comes up if it does. The more they deliver the less chance you will see any issues.

I've had exactly zero issues 5k miles in. Less range then I hoped but car is flawless. Had to do one factory reset (account didn't set up correctly, think due to a spotty connection) but software has been perfect since.

I do think depreciation is going to be abysmal.

By any chance do you still have this list? I think it would be useful to have for myself when I collect and others potentially?

My initial experience was that of a trunk not opening and then a high voltage error, the first issue was resolved quickly, the second one turned out to be a defective e sound module, it took Porsche about a month to find that … but since then no issues and it drives like a Porsche Turbo., so overal overal happy, but the start was Rocky …
From a driving perspective, no other ICE SUV will come close, period …

my turbo has 1 minor issue after 3000 miles - windshield cleaner jets aimed a bit high

flawless in all other respects!

I haven’t had ICE in years. Always have had Tesla performance models and tired of many Tesla things. They’ve been “reliable” but no luxury and more rattles than I can count.

With the ICE announcement I’m super-curious what this will do for the already not great lease options.

Turbo is amazing. Small amount of software bugs across all models, most reset themselves. Confident these will be resolved soon. Enjoy!

To be fair, I also wondered onto the Macan forum. Logic was this is the EV forum where everybody has one and I think most people would like it so you are going to get the opposing view so it’s a good way to hear both sides I think.

It’s an expensive toy at the end of the day so making sure you properly research is important in my humble opinion. To each their own!

Amazing car, I had one problem with the Plug&Charge, first world problem !

After 4 months, I have no regrets and would buy (well, lease) again. Much prefer to any ICE SUV I've ever owned. I have experienced a couple of sensor gremlins that have cleared themselves so far. Perfect, no. Do I look forward to driving it each time? You bet.
