Well, if there is TI (Technical Information) on how to adjust the misaligned charger flap, then ideally if the dealerships order new ones then Porsche should refuse and direct them to that TI 🤔

You would think that would happen. The TI is new so maybe from now on

Man...these guys need to do their jobs. It took my guys almost no time to figure this out. The internal document (which they did not show me but explained in detail) is called a TI (Technical Information). They should call the Victoria BC service department if they cannot find it but if you have to tell them that ....well that is messed up big time....just saying...lol.
I can only imagine they would have done their due diligence before ordering new parts. Porsche Warranty services wouldn't have approved the parts and labour for my particular vehicle if the fix was simple in this situation.

I think both scenarios may be valid. Some can be adjusted, some are out of spec and may require new doors.

I would guess if some doors are being ordered and sent to be replaced, they had a bad batch of doors from their sub tier supplier.

Porsche doesn’t announce these things. They quietly fix them.

My Macan EV Manually operated charging flaps on both sides do not sit flush.

I went to Porsche dealership Solihull UK and they said it was in tolerance.
To me it isn’t within tolerance given it’s a Porsche.

Anyone else noticed this ?
Agreed. I took delivery of my 2024 Macan EV in September after ordering it in February, as was told it was the first delivery in Fort Worth, so mine was shipped very early. I mentioned it to the sales and service reps, they said they all look like that. Hoping it's a slight imperfection that gets fixed in the new vehicles. The car is really terrific, and I love it.

Same. Both of our manual charging covers aren't flush with the body, and all of them I've seen have the same issue. FWIW the dealer says this is normal.

Fortunately there is enough evidence on this forum to refute any notion of this being normal and that there is a service fix in place

My dealer said there is no technical information available regarding this topic... I've asked him to look for it last week.

Snap, Macan was in dealership (Newcastle, UK) for a separate issue (boot lock failed!) and the charge ports came back flush. Not that the dealership mentioned this or detailed it on the work report.

I ordered my turbo recently, yet to collect. We discussed the electric charging cover and I said I don’t think it’s needed, he said its convenient but also, it sits flusher than the manual ones. Something I think should be drawn to anyone’s attention looking to buy. I don’t think this is an official comment, but good to know.

My dealer knew about these issues. It’s a small adjustment on the door. Said it happens commonly on various models.
Same with mine. I indicated that I was not happy about the fit of both flaps during handover. The car was taken back into the service area and reappeared 20 mins later with a 95% improvement after the 3 locating points on each flap were adjusted. It's not perfect, and I agree that it should be on a ÂŁ110k car. But it can be adjusted - that's the takeaway from my experience.
