2025 Macan Turbo Papaya
Country flag
I picked up my Papaya Macan Turbo three weeks ago and I couldn't be happier. I was apprehensive about the common issues I've read about over the past year but I've encountered none so far (apart from a few assistance systems restrictions as a result of applying PPF to the "radar dome" in the center of the front bumper but that's on me).

This is my heavily specced configuration (Papaya no longer available) including Club leather interior, center console framed in leather, 22" RS Spdyer wheels painted in Vesuvius Grey, Pano roof, Burmester, Rear-Axle Steering, AR HUD, InnoDrive, and passenger display.

Really happy with the majority of my choices. The Papaya and Vesuvius grey Spyders look great. I haven't launched the car but the acceleration is mindboggling even in Normal mode. Rear-axle steering makes a huge difference in town. Not sure if oversteering is the right term, but I find myself having to correct my inputs before getting back on the accelerator after a turn. I haven't driven on the motorway yet but changing lanes at 40mph feels like a side lunge. The car always feels planted. I got used to the AR HUD right away and appreciate not having to take my eyes off the road as much. Club leather interior in truffle brown + center console framed in leather feels so luxurious. Other than the air vents and center armrest storage compartment there is no plastic in sight. The neodyme accent package (GT1) and carbon matt neodyme interior package (7TS) add a nice contrast.

As for niggles/letdowns:
  1. Passenger display: Unless they enable the passenger to connect to independent bluetooth earphones, it's completely pointless.
  2. HomeLink: I haven't been able to program it to open the electric gate where I live but I suspect the issue is that my system's frequency is incompatible.
  3. Wheel arches: I made an effort to match the side window trims, roof rails, airblades, and rear wiper in high-gloss black. I didn't realize that speccing off-road package forces the wheel arches to come in matt black.

I too have the viofo A329 with the lighter power and the wire tucked away. I have all the parts to use the dash cam pre-wiring for this too, but have yet to look for someone I trust enough to get into the panels to install the power brick in the mirror housing and the rear camera via the existing coax.

This thing has locked quite a few videos due to hitting bumps triggering the G force for a crash!

Honestly mirror tapping is a piece of cake.
I had never done it before but with a multimeter, I spotted where to connect in literally 5 minutes.

Pushing the top panel out, mirror tapping and sliding the panel back takes 10 minutes tops, taking your time. :)

Homelink issue - take a look at the Universal Receiver kit on Homelink's site - I adopted this for my Taycan due to the proprietary nature of the door opener codes. PCM supports UR and so once programmed it could be operated from the car - i assigned one of the diamond keys for this purpose.

Gongrats for your new car,it's a beauty indeed!Papaya was my by far favorite choice of colors but unfortunately I wasn't lucky enough and Porsche canceled it before my car enters its production phase.I'll still have my beloved orange color as a detail overall though...

I know it's an absolute matter of taste but I would also choose the orange decorative stitching to match the exterior even further. Also the deviated stitching color ads tremendously to overstate the outline of the seats.

I thought about it but contrasting stitching isn't worth the cost in my view and the orange stitching is a different tone to the exterior Papaya anyway.

Sorry to hear that you missed out on Papaya. Hopefully Porsche introduce a similar colour for 2026.

Yeah,in fact the orange tone Porsche is using for the interior, applying to deviated stitching and seats centers as well pairs more closely with PTS Gulforange rather than Papaya.

Even if the color will be replaced by something else for MY2026 I already did my choice in Frozenblue metallic and my order will be locked in rhe next couple of days. But even though I missed the chance to get an entirely orange car this time, I kept the interior as much orange related possible pairing it with some exterior parts vinyl wrapped in Gulforange. And now,the more I look at it in my processed photos the most I like it almost as much as my primary Papaya lost choice.

Did you consider going for PTS Gulf Orange? Might be worth it if you don't mind compromising on other specs to offset the cost.

Yes in fact I indeed gave it a though (well...maybe even more) and admittedly liked it a lot.It would have cost me approx. 8.000€ more than my present built without making any other compromisations on other specs except removing the Glacier Blue light front and back as this is something going in par with FrozenBlue exterior color. The problem wasn't the 8.000 more,at least not the main one,the real problem was my SA informed me that if a PTS color should be optioned most likely the manufacturing process would be moved even further than October resulting a very late car delivery most likely closer to the end of the year when I would be away for our winter road trip to central Europe and not being able to get the car till I come back around mid Jan.
...So it was just not meant to be 🤷‍♂️
...Now doen't bother me much,at least not so much and not in the way bothered me when I was informed my Papaya option was rejected.Since I found a way to keep at least my interior they way I wanted it and be able to pair it so nicely with my exterior I'm happy with it.We must always learn and find ways to adapt.Besides, light tone blue colors like Frozen Blue were always a perfect match with Orange ones.

Correct. I have Papaya with orange deviated seat centers and stitching. The interior orange is a lot lighter — more like orange sorbet

Looks amazing. Very well done. Minor concern, red brake calibres.

I only wish there was an option for a wider palette custom painted calipers besides black like for other cars and Porsche models as well!!
