Ok that makes sense! I haven't tried ACC yet.

On a side note, resetting the network settings of my iPhone 12 fixed all Apple Carplay/pairing issues. And I have used the button beside the rear camera to open the hatch lots of times without issue, so I bet the car was locked when the technician tried to demo the button. I finally saw the look of the headlights (DRL's and main beams) last night and it looks freakin' amazing. Beyond happy!

One question about preheating (or cooling depending on where you are) the cabin. It seems like just pressing "Unlock" on the key fob is supposed to start preconditioning the interior? Is this only when it is plugged in? It's a bit confusing, and not really secure to have to unlock the car for it to preheat the cabin. Or is the first unlock press used to preheat the cabin, then the second unlock is to actually unlock the doors?
This is what the manual says:

Didnā€™t know that about the pre-climate. Seems odd to have to unlock the door.

great car, great ā€˜colorā€™ choice. I think this suits it very well. Have fun!

Very close to the spec I ordered, I just have different wheels. Is this plain black or metallic?

Unlock to pre-heat is one of many pre-heat options if you see my post just one above yours.

Hi MatC21,

It is just plain black. There were other Macan EVs at other Porsche dealers, but this was the only black one in the city so I jumped on it.

Thanks and sorry Iā€™m new to this and havenā€™t gotten my car yet! Put another way say i go over to a friends house and it snows while im there and i want to preheat the car. If I go to the app and select preheat (so itā€™s warm before I head outside) is the door unlock?

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for the feedback and great information! I am not sure when I will get a chance to try InnoDrive but it's much clearer now how to engage it!

Regarding my consumption numbers, the app shows that I drove 37 km, total drive time was 1h 8 minutes, average speed was 33km/h (hit 104km/hm at some points, but then got stuck in traffic) with average consumption to be 24.0 kWh/100km. Heating was set to 22 Degrees C for both me and passenger. Temperature was right around -10 degrees Celsius for most of the trip.

Regarding one-pedal-driving, I would use it on the Volt when stuck in traffic. It helped modulate the speed (with enough distance to the car in front) that I rarely came to a complete stop, and just used the throttle. I would disable the aggressive regen on highways and stretches of roads without traffic (coasting). Just wish there was an option to toggle (some cars have flappy paddles for this). Anyway, it's all good and will be easy to live without.

e
Instead of using one pedal for traffic situations you can use the adaptive cruise InnoDrive. The car will automatically brake and keep you at a distance from the vehicle in front of you. And the steering wheel is Capacitive so just touching it will allow the car to steer with very little or no input from you.

Hi Folks,

Here's a quick one-week ownership review:

-The driving experience is on another level, from the precise steering (rear-axle steering is not really needed but makes the Macan feel much smaller than it is), the suspension that is able to provide firm control while absorbing bumps really well, and the smooth power delivery. I realize there are threads about the 4S and Turbo not having the acceleration lag that the 4 does, but for every day driving, I really like the ease at which the power is delivered on the 4.
-The interior quality, fit and finish is perfect. The car has a beautiful interior. My only real complaint is the piano-black finish of the HVAC controls. Fingerprint magnet!
-My Chargepoint home charger supports up to 7.6kW, which was more than double what the Chevy Volt needed. It is a hardwired charger though, so I can't use the Porsche-provided charger because it has a massive plug. Also the wires to my breaker panel are 8 gage if I remember correctly so I likely won't upgrade to 9.6kW any time soon. To be honest, 7.6kW will be plenty for me anyway.
-The car still looks stunning in person! I am one of the people that was getting annoyed with seeing SUV's/crossovers everywhere, but the Macan standouts easily.
-I haven't pushed the Bose sound system yet. There is free SiriusXM radio but that always sounded like low bitrate, low sampling mp2 files from 1990's. I saw that only bass and treble are adjustable though, so the lack of a full equalizer is a tad disappointing.
-My biggest/only complaint are the graphics of the instrument cluster. The screen is super sharp and clear, but none of the tube configurations look "cool". They are functional but it does not really standout in terms of cool factor. For example, I wish changing to Sport + would change to a more racing-like interface. Or at least allow changing the interior LEDs based on the mode. It's a small gripe but otherwise the Macan EV is a phenomenal car.

I will try to get plug and share working, it sounds like I need to try enabling it with the car on? Otherwise it just fails when trying to enable it.

You should get Screen Protectors. My PPF detailer offered me (at no charge). Very neat up to the edges, and no finger smudges. He offered me clear and matt, and I chose matt. Very good and looks better than before. Others, like Suncoast are selling it as well.

@prime
Just to clarify, there was no PPF inside on those pictures. I had the whole car PPF done outside.

Oh the center console area thatā€™s typically gloss black looked matte in your photos
Yes, I chose matt screen protectors on all three screens you see in these pictures, installed by the PPF detailer.
