Hey

Anyone in here has already got their Macan with the Standard sound system? It used to be quite decent on the old Macan so I was wondering if that still applies to the electric?

i got mine ordered without as I much prefer the cargo space in the sub trunk but I am questioning the decision.
I mostly listen to radio and podcasts, so not really any high fidelity music and usually rather silent. I should be fine I guess?

Any opinion from real life experiences are much appreciated.

It’s another 1.4k where I live plus I loose valuable trunk space (family car with a small child). So don’t want to order it lightly. My wife usually turns down the bass in our cars and I heard the Bose is quite heavy on bass.

Has anyone actually been able to listen to the standard system?

I am is same position. I never listen to music only speech and I want the extra space plus the saving is significant to be spent on extras I want. I have Bose in my Polestar ( part of package) and haven’t noticed an issue when I have driven loan car without them. I would still like to hear from someone with them but too late for me now as locked in

I don't have Bose. I use the standard sound, and it's ok for me. I use mostly for podcasts

I received mine last Tuesday. I initially ordered it without the Bose system, and by the time I decided to add it, it was too late.

I’ve now driven nearly 900 km, and for me, the standard sound system is perfectly fine. I had Harman Kardon in my BMW, and to be honest, since I mostly listen to radio, podcasts, and occasional Spotify playlists—and never too loudly—I didn't notice much of a difference.

The Bose system does offer surround sound, and I’m sure it would be better than the standard one. But for my needs, I’m actually glad I went with the standard system.

Thank you, that is very valuable feedback. I actually have HK on my small BMW as well. For me that's more than enough, so if it's anywhere close to that I'll be fine with the standard.

If you have a chance: Give it a try. My first Taycan (!) was equipped with standard sound. It was really annoying and my only "configuration mistake" on taycan nr.1. Never again, so i went for bose on taycan nr.2 and the macan.

If you’re a music lover who appreciates high-quality sound, Bose is definitely worth.

I'll see if I can try the standard sound before my build freezes. The test drive had Bose but I didn't even pay attention to the sound.
For me it is mostly about loosing another 60L of trunk space. That is almost another Frunk that goes out of the window for something I don't really use much. It might hurt resale value a bit but I plan on keeping it well above 5 years so that's probably not too much of a concern as I specced it reasonably otherwise.

I do love high quality audio, having some nice headphones and an AMP at home. However that does not really translate when I drive - then it's mostly audio books or conversations with the passengers.

Thanks, I saw that thread. Anyone has comparison pics of the usable sub trunk space of Bose vs Standard? If I remember correctly the Bose still leaves a little bit of room but would be nice to see some pictures. Thanks!
