Hi, my dealer in Kent warned about installing any 3rd party dash cams as he said if this causes any electrical fault/short then it would void the warranty. Well, Macan 4 is fully electric and so I did not want to take any riskYes, I agree, it sounds like a common lie from the dealership.
My dealership in London never said that to me when he said they can install the dashcam for me (Porsche one, obviously). But I said I prefer the other brands, and he said fine, get that installed.
The question of warranty never arose, otherwise he would have warned me.
there has to be something that doesn't keep power 100% of the time... like the cigarette lighter, or outlet in the trunk. The EV Macan's fuse box doesn't ever "sleep" or turn off power so it wouldn't properly go into parking mode with a fuse box install.
If you refer to my above link it confirms it’s front and rearMy employer has decided to go with the Porsche dashcam because the SA said a third party device could create warranty issues with the vehicle. Does anyone know if the Porsche is front and rear or just front?
