I have a new macan ev turbo, car is excellent and nothing major observed so far. Exceeding my expectations.
I, too, have a Turbo (with ~2,400 miles on it), and am totally happy with the car. I did have problems with Plug and Charge, but once that got sorted, overall the car’s been great. I was an early owner of a Lambo Gallardo back when it first came out, a Lotus Evora at its debut, and an early Tesla Model S and all those cars were problem children compared to this car.

We are driving our Macan 4 since 6000 km now and yes, it started with some issues in the beginning but they were ALL based on the PCM, so the communication module and they are all solved now besides one connection issuesof the app that is not showing the trip and location correctly. Driving the car is great and I would order it again. Don't let the negative comments of some people have an impact on your great decisions. We all knew this was kind of "beta testing" and yes, they could have done better BUT let's not forget that the dealers were also not firm with the new software and couldn't help the customers at first. This is gone now and you will not have the same (negative) beginning as some of us did.

Several years ago I took delivery of the first Taycan in Kansas City, MO. I always lease my cars and planned a 2.5 year lease.

After about 2 years, I traded it in early on an Audi eTron. The Taycan had way too many electronic issues that to me were beyond simple nuisance...phone wouldn't connect regularly, screens lost touch randomly, screens went black, odd error messages. The car was stunning...everyone wanted to look at it...and it was a blast from 0-60...but it wasn't reliable.

The eTron has been flawless. Range is bad and I knew that going in (I drive about 4,000 miles a year) but everything works all the time.

Well, i'm 18 days away from delivery of a Dolomite Silver 4S with Truffle Brown Club Leather...every detail spec'd just as I wanted it. And after spending time on this forum i'm really wondering if this is going to be a Taycan v2.0 situation.

Maybe it's just a fear I'm having but I'm certainly reading about more issues with the Macan EV than love for the Macan EV. Am i wrong? Any difference about what's happening 2024 vs 2025? What about US vs International deliveries?

I love my Macan EV. NO issues other than I am driving too fast......

The first sign I knew this launch was going to be a mess was the TYD not working. I ended up cancelling my first build because I didn't like it sitting in port for months without a clear release date. The new build I have is going into production in Jan but TYD is now working for now. It seems clear Porsche had a messy launch but appears to have ironed out the issue somewhat. However it doesn't seem like the Macan EV is as bad as the Taycan was as far as issues go so I don't think your experience will be a Taycan 2.0.

I traded my Taycan 4S for the Macan EV and I'm beyond happy. Like you, I loved the Taycan. It was beautiful and fast, but quirky! The Macan's technology is a complete 180 and although it's not as fast as the Taycan, it definitely packs a punch. I don't think you'll regret it!

I'm curious, I have a 4S that is in production currently and am in the US, how do I get the TYD to work? With my Taycan, it just showed up in My Porsche online, but that system seems to have gone away, and now in the App, I only see my current Taycan, and no info about the incoming Macan.

Thanks for any info

Sounds like yours was pre-TYD as well. It will show up just like your Taycan.

At the time I initially tried to follow the TYD link the Porsche servers were having technical difficulties and my TYD link expired. It stayed in the expired state. I submitted a service request at Porsche Customer Service North America. About 2 days later my 4S showed up in the app. Later that day I received an email reply from Yolanda stating that they manually added my 2025 Macan S to my MyPorsche ID.

So, if you haven't already, try submitting a support request or emailing [email protected]

I have to believe they will update all model years with the latest software one way or another to keep the fleet consistent and up to date (adjusting for model year hardware differences when applicable)
I hope this too. I think Porsche should have learned to think software as a platform by now with this Android based OS. Meaning same code base should support all model years and also upcoming Cayenne cars. This would allow shipping constant updates and features a la Tesla. Maybe I'm too optimistic..

Macan 4 owner and 0 issues. Although I’m only still at my first 1000km - didn’t drive that much as of yet, but plenty of short trips without any issues. This being said, my Taycan 4 had also very few issues. Maybe an occasional PCM reset, but that’s it

I was told the Track Your Dream would not be available for the Macan. My dream arrived before I could track it ( via. the app at least). Sounds like that is changed now?

It was a HUGE pain in the butt waiting for them to load the new software when I took delivery finally after waiting 3 days on Dec. 21st.

But, I haven't had even a peep of an issue since. This is honestly the best car I've ever had. And I've had a lot of cars.
