if you drive off with no heating / aircon on and after say a mile then put on the max heat / screen on - watch the range dive by up to 50 miles. In the relatively mild winters in the UK I think the heating on has a bigger effect than the the external temp on the battery

Max Heat uses resistive heating instead of the heat pump so you should avoid using that if range is an important consideration for the trip.

Instead set the desired cabin temperature and turn the AC to ON in AUTO mode, with the seated heats and steering wheel heating on for a few minutes until you're comfortable, then turn them off.

Presumably, pre-heating whilst the vehicle is still plugged in costs zero miles?

In my Macan Turbo I get a real-world range of around 330km (205 miles) in winter, and maybe around 370km (230 miles) in summer. This is at a cruise of 120km/h (74 mph) on the motorway.

I have 22" RS Spyder rims.

Thanks everyone for the advice and feedback, temperature here has been around 40 degrees (F) so it looks like the range is what I can expect in those kind of temepratures.

if plugged in, it should extend your range, lets say you will use 2kwh to heat the cabin from cold - this now comes from the charger, so you effectively gain 2kwh of range - 4-5 miles.

it does dive, but its assuming you will run this level of heat until you hit zero battery. In fact normally you will turn off heated steering wheel, turn down heated seats, and heater, as the cabin warms up, and your range will slowly improve.

On the official website is says “Electrical consumption combined (model range): 3.5 – 3.0 mi/kWh, Range combined (model range): 328 – 379 miles”

I am getting typically 230 miles to a full charge, granted it’s winter, but it’s a way off the expected range. I know the “expected” consumption is never the real consumption, but it’s quite a lot less.

What is the general experience from other Macan 4 owners on range?
As we've said a zillion times before these are WLTP (lab based) figures - in otherwords la la land.

Take 30% off or thereabouts and you'll be closer to reality.

Winter doesn't help, remember this is still old battery tech.

Hi. As others have said it’s winter.

My experience for 20k miles Macan 4 with 21” all season tires on mixed motorway (65-70mph on 120mi weekend commute ) and 50mi heavy traffic weekday commute on city roads, night time with lots of electronic options plus heat using battery, 2nd winter and one summer:

spring summer fall: up to 390mi and a few times 405(!?!?) miles
winter: reads 303-309mi on app and in car screen. Leave heated garage in 0C / 32F and drops to 285-290mi instantly.

Uses more % battery for same 50mi R/T commute. 8%-10% summer vs 12%+ for same journey noting 100miles less range to begin with. No big issue. Just recharge more often and Plan travel.
