Good day to all. I received the warning below (similar to the Microsoft 'Blue Screen of Death') this morning.
After turning the car off and back on, the message went away.
My service people at the local Porsche dealer advised me that unless it reoccurs, don't bring it in.

So... Anyone experience this? Any advice?
Much thanks.

We should call it RSOD which stands for Red Screen of Death like BSOD stands for Windows dreadful Blue Screen of Death  😜

Probably a network issue that triggered the error, lots of MCU/ECU’s on the network, if one is a bit late in the startup you can have this … for me in the end it was a defective sound module …
So as long as it drive,s do not bring it in, wait till it really dies, otherwise the dealer will keep it for months end till they find the defective module …

Ugh! I have the same thing and just took delivery a week ago. It happened before I drove it off the lot but they assured me if they kept it overnight to do a software update it would clear. Came back the next day. Multiple other glitches, too! (Gas pedal loses power randomly, Right tube view constantly locks on radio with no other views, forgets phone and settings, heads up display changes😭) Keeping it until Monday to make a comprehensive list so hopefully everything can be addressed. So disappointing. I’m afraid they won’t have a fix.

I had this same warning happen the first week of ownership and car would not start after I drive it work that morning. Had to be towed 😒. Had to escalate with ticket placed for Porsche to assist as local dealer (Cleveland) had not seen this before. Ultimately replaced the
front end power electronics unit, Electronics control unit body front section. all has been well since 3 weeks.

I’ve had a similar experience. I turned off my car, waited for about 30 seconds, and then turned it back on. It never happened again after that. My car has over 10,000 miles (16,000 km) on it.

I’ve seen it twice in my 9 months of ownership and both times did what my service rep called a “lock and walk”. After 5 minutes it was fine. One potential reason was doing a pre climate and ending that moments before I entered the car. Not sure that’s the trigger, but definitely will avoid doing that.

Yes, I’ve gotten the red circle once after driving over a deep hole that I didn’t see due to rainy weather. After getting home and re-started the car it went away. Been good since.

I"ve had this twice in the past 3 months and it's been fine after shutting off the car & starting it again. Note I've also recently received "yellow" warnings of: Charging Ports Impaired, Right Charging Port Impaired and today an E-Sound Error. The dealer isn't concerned about safety but I'm taking it in in a couple of weeks so they can figure it out.

Welcome to the world of Macan EV ownership! You'll soon get used to receiving a frequent, random selection of error messages which look serious but go away with a restart.
