Macan 4s

I've ordered a macan 4s for the wife. It will arrive in may at some point apparently. Volcano grey. We got a test drive in a 4. I do note the complete lack of any reviews on this model on YouTube. Why is this?

The 4 and the Turbo launched first, followed somewhat later by the 4S. All the journalists, influencers, etc. tested the 4 and Turbo during Porsche launch events, loans, and promotions. The 4S was a much softer launch, and a sweet spot in the lineup.

That's what I was told. (swee spot) No availability at the time for a test drive. The business lease that a got was only £50 a month more so seemed like a no brainier. Now hopefully the wife keeps it between the hedges.

What’s really crazy to me is, there’s been new reviews coming out all the time on YouTube, and even though the 4S is readily available and has been for the last few months, zero of those new reviews have been for the 4S. It’s always for a Macan 4 or Turbo. I’ve scoured YouTube for 4S full reviews and I think I’ve only found one that was in German and it was on the shorter side.

I asked one YouTube journalist (he was reviewing Turbo) the same question, why the latest two new variants don't get reviewed as much.
He said, they get the car given by Porsche to review, and he has no say in picking his choice of Macan.
Strange, Porsche are only pushing for Turbo and 4

If it's this one, turn on CC, then go to Settings (gear icon) to auto-generate the English translation. Works with virtually any language.

I have the Macan 4S also in Volcano Grey. The Porsche pictures don't really do this colour justice IMHO and the combination (for me) of 21" Macan S Wheels and the black roof bars and grey wheel arch and door strips looks great. It's not much more expensive than the base or Macan 4 versions - the options you choose will obviously elevate the overall cost (probably) more. It has more than enough acceleration for UK roads and is (for me) a good follow on to a Tesla Model 3 LR. Whilst the may be some bragging rights to owning the Turbo, it's not (for me) required for a car that does everything very well. The Macan 4 also works very well but as there isn't too much price differential the 4S is (for me) worth it.
