I got the update but I don't have the function:
•New function for opening and closing the charge port door
directly from the app

The App will probably need an update to support that … patiences

Just called the dealer to ask if ours (purchased in June) was eligible for the update. It is. Plus 2 minor recalls (cargo compartment cover, seatbelt plastic slide).

Never got any notice from Porsche, just heard about it here.

Same in Switzerland, I dont think they bother informing the clients. My Porsche dealer is always booked anyway, they will do the update during the next wheel change

The iPhone app was updated today. I opted for manual charger port doors so I can't check if the function is there now.

Well the sensor data is for me completely empty which in the past was not the case for me … and values that where in the past correct are now completely wrong …
Im speaking about that long list … that is for 99% empty now, for me.

You are lucky with an max energy capacity of 96.6kwh that is over spec

Mine was under 97 kWh when new, 10K km later it's barely over 91 kWh, guess frequent DC charging 250+kW and battery temps 50+ degC does that.
I didn't do the update but CarScanner while perfect for the ID.3 most of the values for the Macan are gibberish.
Hope the Max Energy HV Content still works after the update as that's the only thing I use it for on the Macan.
On the ID.3 I can read the software & hardware version of every single ECU and values for all sensors real time like how many Watts exactly is the PTC heater or AC compressor pulling right now, etc.
I bet if CarScanner worked with the Macan it could halve the posts on this forum

I’ve received the update on my phone as well but no sign of the charging ports option yet.

Update on my update -
After the dealer had the car for 2 days, it seems that the HV Control module is having issues with the update, so they are ordering the part and will try again after replacing it..
anyone else had this issue during the update?

They kept mine for a few days, but no mention if it was for anything specific. I will double-check the paperwork.

My dealer ordered this HV Module for replacement, hopefully it will complete the upgrade after the replacement scheduled for next week.

Am away for a 2-week vacay and left the car for the update, seatbelt resolution and rear compartment change. Service staff called me the next day noon asking, what else to be done?

Seat - Comfort setting - will also move the steering wheel if you have electric adjustment. All to aid ingress and egress.

Thansk for the tip - I was/am aware - What I was trying to say is that the feature enabled itself after the update. I had to toggle it, then it started working normal. It was indicated as off on the screen, but performing the actions. I turned it on, then off again, and it started to be synced with the button status again.

yes it is for every macan of 24 and 25. i just asked the software guru at my pc. i have one 4s from march and a turbo from June. both got the update and the fixes for trunk cover and passenger seatbelt. could it be that the update has been already installed when you received the car. on the other hand there has been an update of the update in the first week of November. may be your SA does not know what he is doing?

Its all ways possible they don't know what they are doing, but I don't think that's the case here. I sat with them for almost an hour and we went through the before and after snap shot of the system. It clearly has a firmware before and after that matched to the software that was running in the car in Aug. I purchased this MY25 in Oct of 2025, it was on the lot. They confirmed they were asked to do updates to the cars on the lot over the summer, and that's what the tools were showing before and after for.

The target version number does not appear to be a 'firmware version' but an update package version. After looking through pretty much every module, it remains true that only parameters appear to have been changed and the creation of a new module specific for 'assistance system'. The Manager (not the SA) was who showed me all this data, said that was rarely done, and he felt it was only at times when they were hyper focused on something they group them to make it easier to work on.

Further, the update you speak of for 'first week of November' appears be the one called VR28.13 - that is the one that was applied to mine when it went into the shop near the end of November. There is no way it was not the correct one, the software tools clearly listed at the top of the scans as the 'installed' version. If there is a newer version that VR28.13, I am not aware, and Porsche Canada doesn't confirm that either.

Not sure where you want to take the conversion from here, the target version is 100% confirmed as indicated here VR28.13, seems to have an implied match to the 'first of November update' you indicate. I believe I am one of the few that has seen the update report, and if I could have, I would have snapped pictures so you could also see what I saw but I was asked not to.

Either way, going to let this play out and see what happens with them, they seem motivated to resolve it, hopefully it comes in short order.

Exactly. It very much feels this update mainly just updated the error thresholds and some other parameters in the internal configuration. There is a message buried in this thread indicating that. Someone was watching while the update happened at the dealer if I remember correctly.

I guess nobody now knows if there will be a real feature update to 24-25 owners later.

I was my post, and your summarize is directional correct, the variance isI reviewed the install logs after the update was performed. It was clear on a module-by-module basis the firmware stayed the same, and the update tool they used only showed "parameter modifications". As an aside the VR28.13 update number doesn't align with any firmware codes, but seems to be an update package identifier. the Module firmware didn't seem to have any resemblance to this number scheme for VR28.13.

My experience has been 'reduced' but not eliminated errors for assistance systems, which feels about right if they only modified the trigger thresholds for the errors, which I am convinced is the only thing done after seeing the install/action logs.
