I picked up my new 4S yesterday and have a couple of questions that I hope someone can help with…

  1. how do I add POIs to navigation (e.g. UK speed cameras)?
  2. my Frunk doesnt open with the ‘hand swipe’. is this an option, config setting or do I have a fault(y hand)?
Thanks in advance..

That is a configuration option under Vehicle Settings > Lock that you have to turn on to enable frunk swipe opening as well as trunk foot gesture opening.

Thanks but it doesnt show on my menu here. I know the trunk foot gesture is an option here (UK) which I didn't select, but thought the Frunk hand-wave was standard. It appears maybe not., Not a major issue as I can press the key but a neat trick to show-off with…

EDIT: I’ve done a little more digging and it appears to be part of the Comfort Access option.

If anyone knows how to add those POIs to the Navigation system that would be really helpful still.

you didn't add the comfort access package?
No - gotta draw the line somewhere on that options list and didnt fancy the keyless entry enough. I can manage without the frunk/trunk but was just a little confused as I thought the Frunk opening was standard. Not the end of the world ;-)

I did the same. No comfort access, and that was more because in the last comfort access car I had, I always used a Faraday pouch to block the signal for would be hackers.
But Faraday pouch defeats the purpose of comfort access, ie take the Faraday pouch out of the pocket, take the key out from the pouch for comfort access to work.
That was a bit more effort than just pressing a button on the key fob ;)

You can't add POIs such as cameras to NAV.

Foot gesture comes with Comfort Access as the others have said.

It may.become available as an FOD (function on demand) feature as it was in the Taycan. Slightly less functionality (no lock button on the hatch) if not factory optioned. .

Ah - that's a shame. Was hoping to take this opportunity to flip from Apple Maps to the built-in Nav system but this is quite an important function for me. It seems it was possible in previous versions of the PCM but not now.

It is strange that the map view allows you to select what you want to see and POIs is one of the options, alongside other common locations, so hopefully the is a thing for the future. Thanks for clarifying

I’m using CarPlay and Apple Maps for the same reason. If the speed camera alerts were in the PCM Nav then I’d make the switch PCM completely, as the Spotify app is very good.

I've had many Porsches over the years and POI has always featured but no way to add your own.

POI is simply a pre-configured list to display all or a subset.

PCM across the range will get a major overhaul as it switches to native Android Auto for all functions which may open the door to personalised POIs. Don't expect a retrofit for legacy PCMs.
