New Macan GTS real-life images

Yeh it will just be abit gutting to get the car then immediately hand it over but it will need the car to be delivered to my front door from the OPC (lease contract requires it). Then it will need driven from my house to the detailer, which is about 18 miles of country road.

My plan is to ppf the high impact areas, front bumper gloss black side skirts, mirrors, wheel arches and obviously ceramic coat (which isnt needed immediately). Also going to add some protection to the racetex interior.

Excuse my ignorance, Gary, but why are you spending money getting PPF and ceramic coating when the car is leased?

I could understand getting protection if you planned to keep the car long term, and it was your private purchase.

Or maybe a partial PPF coverage at much less dost, e.g. to PFF your front fascia, fender,hood, front of mirror, and A pillar — and stop there?

To bounce this question back, is ppf only for the purposes of resale? In reality most people only keep a car for 3-5 years, sorry should of said its not the main body, just high impact areas eg side skirts & bumper but the high gloss console inside



It could be that I still have to hand it back in perfect condition — and I want it to look as as possible new for the three years I’m driving it. It’s cheaper than paying for chips and scratches at lease return, and I get to enjoy a closer to perfect car the whole time.

The ppf is a smaller cost in the grand scheme of things, those gloss black parts such as side skirts will get plenty scuffed up

What tyre pressure are you running, mine was delivered with 2.8 bar, TPM states should be 2.5 bar for partial load

Check the plate on the b-pillar visible when the driver's door is open - this will be the recommended pressure for original tyres and rims fitted.

Fantastic. Compared to a 4S and 4 I had as loaner before. Compared to my Flat6 981 on my local "track", it also delivers a big smile and I've turned from Petrolhead now 180 degrees. The GTS specific Sound useful here. Also my (pimped) Tesla M3P is fully forgotten.

Software runs really faster in MY26 and so far stable. Only still fighting with getting the app linked to the vehicle...

Hey MTGBUK can you tell us if there are any PPF seams on the front bumper or did they manage to go a bulk install to skillfully avoid creating seems along the front? Ask this because if they use a template sometimes they have to seem together two pieces, in visible places which end up collecting dirt whereas if they do a bulk install, although it’s more difficult, they can do the entire bumper with one piece instead of multiple pieces.

Mine was coming with 3,1bar and TPM and sticker says 2.6 / 2.5. I will reduce accordingly.

Always trust the sticker IF you are the first owner with the factory ordered rim and tyres. If it were a 2nd owner car then you need to check that the car had the original factory supplied rims.

I've noticed that dealers have a tendency to over inflate. Just had 4 new tyres on my Macan T fitted by Kwikfit who essentially ignored any guidance or documentation and over inflated all tyres.
