Hi guys,

Anyone have a lead on options for no drill/ no glue license plates for the front of the Macan EV...magnetic or otherwise? I see one for the ICE Macan but guessing that will not work on the EV.

UPDATED: So STO N SHO got back to me with their new no drill license plate holder. Here is their first install video of the products.

Here is the link to buy it if you want.

Interesting. We have government issued plates (metal) so not sure if I can even use wrap alternative. But honestly never thought about that as an option until now.

in california I just use these guys…

https://licenseplatewrap.com/

front plate stickers - approved by local agencies.
These are also used by Mach-e owners, they seem quite happy with them in California.

One perk of CA, these don’t seem to be accepted in NJ.
Then again, NJ cops don’t seem to care about enforcing license plates laws.

Between all the cars that only have the rear plate (when both are mandatory) and the ones with covers that make plates barely legible… it’s very lax.

for me in CA it's avoiding a "fix it ticket" - the "fine" isn't really the issue (but it's nice to avoid it) but rather having to make an appointment at the DMV to "prove" you've fixed it

it becomes a waste of a day to obtain proof-of-compliance

so I do the sticker and it avoids fix-it tickets…which BTW Mountain View, CA will write you for this even when parked downtown and away from your vehicle…{sigh}

Now there are two Macan EV no drill front plate mounting options (for those not living in CA which allows front plate stickers). Not just the one listed in the OP link to Sto-n-Sho but an additional one for those without the off road front option.

Hate it but at least that’s an option.
Sits pretty low however, expect a lot of scrapping to take place…

I have friends who put their front plate on the top of their dash, with its bottom at the inside base of their windshield. Is that an accident potential injury or worse?

Might as well leave saw blades laying around on the dash…

Ok folks here is the sto&sho drillless plates installed. This is the way to go if you want full frontal exposure (that does not sound right but you know what I mean). Only possible downside is you need to pull the quick release pin and remove the plate if you’re going through a car wash as you may damage the plate I always hand wash my car so not a worry for me

Oh, and if you’re the kind of person that pushes the front end of your car over a curb when you park I’m not sure the clearance is a problem. The plate bracket hangs about an inch and a half below the bottom of the front. Something to think about let me know if you want more information.

Also, I just saw the standard plate holder they give you. It looks like you drill into the front to mount it. If this is true that is absolutely horrifying. I would never drill into the painted surface of my car. That is just me
