Plug and Charge works after reset

An FYI for those with a similar situation

My plug and charge wasn’t working ( it was grayed out)

I went to the dealer and we did a full software reset.

After the reset it wasn’t immediately working, but after about 20 minutes we checked and it worked.

If you do the reset at home, wait some time and it should work.

Most of my car settings stayed active. I had to re do my Homelink and download my weather apps.

also worked in my case. Bit annoying, but the reset was quickly done

How do you do the reset from home?

It was in one of the settings pages. The service guy was in the car with me and he didn’t use anything special ( equipment or codes)

It could easily have been done from home , but I wouldn’t have known about the waiting, since it wasn’t operational immediately. I got the car washed and about 30 minutes later we tried and it was operational.

Had the same issues and went back dealer.., then when home had to reset garage door… but all good now… slow start for Porsche out of the gate on the Macan 4 !

How do you do the reset from home?

Be careful, if you reset at home you may lose your manual in your PCM. This is something that will need to be reinstalled at the dealer. It happened to me.

Same happened to my Macan 4. On day 1, Plug and Charge not working. Called the dealer sales rep and told me to call 1 800 Porsche which I did. While im on the phone with customer service rep, instructed me to do a factory reset. After about an hour wait for the software reboot, everything is working; able to install certificate/enable plug and charge.

Hi, same for me on my Macan Turbo, after 10 days without any automatic correction from the PCM, I found the trick here and it works perfectly. Thanks

Worked for me as well, except the clock is not correct and you can’t turn on auto sync

Spoke to my SA today about Macan EV and if they had any problems. He said they cannot make Plug and Charge work even with the Porsche rep. He said they have no solution. I did not try it on my test drive since lot cars have Guest accounts.

It would be helpful if someone could post a step by step with certificate install instructions.

This means that you are not able to set the correct time after the factory reset? If yes, then I guess I wouldn't do it.

You can set it manually. I waited a couple days to see if it would eventually set itself on its own, but I got tired of waiting.
