Certainly not impressive figures at this point. Best I've seen are circa 3.3m/kwh.

Given time in development and advancement in technology, I'd have hoped for better.

Just to add, I was getting (at very best) 3.3 m/kwh from my Genesis GV60 sport plus (2022 MY) using a 77 kwh battery (A very similar car to the 4s but on 21" wheels)

That dropped to around 2.2m/kwh in autumnal / winter UK weather.

So that equated to around 210-250 miles on the motorway.

My round-trip is 270 miles, so id fast charge on the way back.

I'm obviously comparing the Macan to this.

I really need to see what the Macan EV can do when we're not being pushed by traffic flow on a 75 mph speed limit highway…

I'm hoping at 65-70 mph we're more easily past a 250 mile range…

The problem, IMO, is that the Macan was designed to come out 2 or 3 years ago. The software really delayed the car but they didn't really update the rest of the car along with the delay. It feels like we got a MY22 Electric Macan with MY24 software.

We're seeing MY25 Taycans have a notable range advantage over the Macan and with better charging tech.

I've honestly contemplated swapping my Macan order for a MY25 Taycan.

I didn't realise there had been software delays.

What efficiency improvements are the facelift Taycan's seeing?

I hear you - but the Taycan are over priced IMHO - I seriously considered a GTS CT/ST Taycan - I optioned one in the configurator - and then compared it to my Macan Turbo (which is quicker 0-60 than a GTS) - the Taycan carries an $85k premium vs. my Macan Turbo build (the base price of an entire Macan 4S)…

once you factor in likely depreciation and the initial upfront $85k - even my reduced price sensitivity as a long time Porsche customer - can't over come the cost of such an endeavour.

Having driving a new Taycan TurboS and Taycan Turbo GT and Macan Turbo in the past 3 weeks - back to back one day - the Taycan is undoubtably in a different league than the Macan - but still the price difference is simply eye watering…bu the Taycan is awesome, and the Macan so far is great- the Macan however clearly has the next gen software from Porsche - it's a step up from what's included in the Taycan…

it's a hard call…but the price made it easy for me. Taycan is the better "car" - Macan is the better daily driver in my opinion and more livable.
