Charging was fine, but once the fast charging failed. It was a Shell recharge station. Walked away from the car and after a few minutes we could charge, but too slow. We drove to a charging station further down the route, also Shell and everything was fine again. Also beware that Tesla supercharger and Porsche Macan are not a good match, the max charge speed is around 130kwh. This seems to be a common issue the dealer told me.

All other chargers did not give any problems.

Just back from Spain, so lots of highway. Still good stats.

You can share the statistics of like driving down or back? How many kilometers / charging stops to go to Spain?

You can easily plan your route in the Porsche app, which is pretty accurat. We drove from a hotel close to the border of France in two days to home 1400 km. We charged 4 times, but also charged in the hotels to 80%. Charging goes so quick that you need to hurry with drinking coffee/ toilet;-)

Nice! So 5 charges for a 1400km trip, not bad. Overall stats are also cool!

It is not a problem, Tesla chargers are 400v, Porsche can charge max at 150 when battery percentage is higher … Most 800v cars, especially Chinese can only charge at 80kw … so it’s not that bad. New v4 chargers of Tesla can charge at 800v if they have the new v4 power supply … So Tesla points are great as a backup, not regular stops as you would loose time.

Also yesterday. Macan 4S on 20", temperatures about 60-70F.

I started out with 95% charge and guesstimated range of 313 miles. After 155 miles, I still had 45% remaining indicated.

3.2 is about 19.4kwh/100km

Drove 124 km/h real speed for about 55km/h. 18C still on winter tires 20 inch 4S design. The actual average speed was 120 km/h real speed and real consumption when I exited the highway was 22kwh/100km, so this would make it a 400km Highway range from 100% to 10% and a 300km there after … good enough for a Turbo I guess and not that far of of the RWD version a few posts back …

Warmer weather and consumption is dropping, finally. But something funny, while consumption seems to be dropping I hardly see a difference in percentage drop on my daily commute of 34km’s one way. Seems like there is a disconnect between this 2 stats …
Turbo on 20 inch winter tires, will change over to summer on Friday …

Getting better and better, 500km range in the turbo on 20inch wheels90% winter tires Goodyears and now Bridgestone Potenza, they seem to be OK in regards to consumption, same as my winter Goodyear so when they are used I will go to the summer Goodyears and get another 5 to 7% better efficiency/range:

Not bad at all: temperature starts to rise and I’ve done 15 days with winter wheels (20”) and 15 with summer wheels (21”).

Not much difference with a Turbo … but I have smaller wheels overall, anyway I want other summer tires. Which one do you have as summer tires?

These are my March-April New England trips of over 2 hours in a 4S with factory 20 inch Perrelli Scorpion MS tires. This car is used mostly for Sunday drives on winding country roads with a couple heavily loaded longer trips. The car was delivered mid February.

2:05, 30 mph, 3.3 mi/kWh
2:10, 37 mph, 3.8 mi/kWh
2:48, 50 mph, 3.7 mi/kWh
6:14, 60 mph, 2.7 m/kWh ~40F mostly
3:28, 32 mph, 3.6 m/kWh rainy
2.06, 33 mph, 3.0 m/kWh freezing weather

Seems like driving faster gets better m/kWh to a point 🙂

Monthly report, but why is last month labeled February when it should be March?:
