Everyone needs to keep in mind that most happy owners don't go on forums. Owners seeking answers do.

A poll on a forum is always going to show a high % of problems. I wouldn't say 15% is concerning for a forum poll. That's not to take away from people having problems; it sucks and Porsche needs to do better.

Iā€™d love to hear an update Gary. I took delivery of my Macan Turbo about a month ago and it was an amazing car. A week ago my car had the same ā€˜Chassis Failureā€™, ā€˜E-Sound Failureā€™ and I even had ā€˜Braking Function Limitedā€™ and ā€˜All-wheel Drive System Failed.ā€™

I immediately took my car to the dealership and noticed during the drive that the power steering and air suspension were no longer working.

After a few days waiting for the foreman to be free, I was told that the car also was showing hundreds of errors and it would be a while. Today they informed me that they ordered a new drive and chassis control unit. It is still TBD how long it will be to repair my car or even if this will fix all the issues.

Hopefully yours has been fixed Gary as that means there is hope for my Macan.
I wish I had an optimistic update. My turbo has been at the dealership for 3 weeks and we are no closer to a resolution. Car has been driven 200 miles by the techs and hundreds of errors reported out. Logs have been shared with Germany with no diagnosis. The only issue that was identified was water inside the front facing camera. The "theory" is that damaged sensors inside the unit could be the source of triggering this broad variety of error conditions. There is a high degree of skepticism by the local team but the plan was to proceed with a replacement. That was an over a week ago. No units are available in the US and Germany (after a week) has yet to respond with any notion of part availability, never mind a shipment date. They only acknowledge the receipt of the request. Keeping in mind, this was their idea but no urgency on their part.

So... after a call from a Porsche NA Customer Rep that handles Lemon Law issues, I met on Thursday with the GM and Service Manager. The most likely outcome is that Porsche will be repurchasing the car I had access to for grand total of 1 month and drove about 1,000 miles. I will need to get in que with a new order and hope that when it arrives sometime in 2025, the issue(s) have been identified and resolved.

Side note.... having stayed deeply involved during this process, I have a number of observations of how the Dealership, Porsche NA and Porsche AG interact and it is not a flattering picture. Particularly the total absence of urgency or any evidence of a customer centric perspective from Germany. You would think the Mac EV launch would be a critical time for ensuring customer success based on the importance of the Macan product line. From a customer perspective, I see a company culture that does not prioritize resolutions of significant customer issues. To be clear, the dealership has been great throughout this process but that requires a partner in Germany equally committed.

Why can't they/won't they "borrow" the part from a demo car just to test the theory, if nothing else?

David, excellent point and I should have included that in my earlier response. The dealership proposed that approach at our Thursday meeting. To do that they need approval from Germany (to my earlier point about how neutered the dealerships are). They requested approval on Friday morning and they do not expect to hear back from them until sometime next week. You would think that would be a no brainer thumbs up decision that could be made in a matter of minutes. Apparently everything takes days or weeks to deliberate.

Sorry to hear about your issues, that's incredibly frustrating. I've had a couple cars bought back and the back & forth is infuriating.

I highly doubt Porsche will let them harvest the part from another car, though. There are issues on their end with that idea from a liability pov and, frankly, they'd probably rather buy your car back at this point and get it sent to Germany for inspection as is.

Make sure you're getting compensated beyond the purchase price and getting money off your next order.

I absolutely love my turbo!! The only issues I have had have been my errors getting used to the automation. This is my first new car since 2008 and the menus have come a long way since then. Being an airline pilot flying the Airbus 321 Neo (all less than 2 years old), which is as advanced as any airliner, I am very comfortable with complexity and the latest automation. It has taken me 6 weeks to get comfortable with my ultimate favorite settings. I prefer Sport mode (sport plus is a bit too harsh with the 22's), fully lowered, with recuperation completely off (except of course when using the brake pedal).

Not a single failure prompt that others have spoken of. Everything works perfectly!

IMHO the 321 NEO is significantly way more advanced than most - if not almost every - airliner out there,so your point is even more stronger šŸ˜‰!!

@GaryV I imagine the hold is that you have one place (German HQ) trying to manage the hundreds of issues and request of thousands of dealerships around the world.
yeah i sucks for the customer, but i have a feeling this is probably pretty difficult for them

I originally was in the happy camp, after a few weeks and 4 service visits, I moved to the minor issues camp, Today I regret my decision. I do not know when we will get our car back given the last issues. . But, who knows, if they can get my car stable, I can easily become happy again.

BMW X 5. Macan ev turbo ordered

I realize that people who are having issues are the ones who frequent forums but the more I read about problems with the Macan the more I wonder if buying this first generation EV is worth it.
I have an ice grey turbo that was just built and is on its way. Excited on one hand but tempted to refuse delivery and wait until the bugs are worked out. My current hybrid X5 gets me along just fine.

We went out to start our car and were greeted with many errors. And the car wouldnā€™t start. We kind of panicked as the car was stuck in our garage. The dealer sent a tow truck to our house, and while we were waiting, I decided to try to start the car again. This time everything was peachy.

I got help from other members of the forum. They said this is a fairly common problem. They explained that whenever you see an error, shut the car off, walk away for five minutes and then come back and try again. Most of the time the error will never be seen again and youā€™re good to go. And this is what happened in our situation.

We are now taking our car on its first long road trip and everything has been great so we are going to change our vote to minor issues but happy.

I'm almost in the same situation as you.Even though I haven't ordered my 4S yet trying to wait until next spring, I force myself keep trying to wait a bit longer so as many as possible issues will be fortunately resolved till then.On the other hand there's always the posibility for other issues to emerge at any time in the near future or even worse continue to emerge for the next couple of years and I'm definitely against waiting any longer unless something so very bad arise in the meantime which eventually will turn me away from the car for good.
At the end of the line the decision getting ownership of such a car given off course its price tag it will always be a balance between what you like about it and how many box ticks for you versus the risks you're determined to get owning a car that in many aspects seems to be still under its testing phase although final. And because its something so computer depandable would be more appropriate to say it most likely is still under Beta testing and only wish not to be still in Alpha!!šŸ˜œ
