Hi All,

Been reading the reviews in anticipation of my 4S arriving, was suprised to see this review that recommended the steel-spring instead of air suspension?
https://www.carmagazine.co.uk/car-reviews/porsche/macan-electric/
Anyone tried these back to back - I always thought air was the way to go.

"But the 4S we drove in Germany was constantly jostling over ruts the standard car couldn’t find – a problem that was compounded by engaging Sport Plus mode."

Should I have just stuck with steel?

In a. word no. Are you also going for the rwd version based on this?
I am sure rwd and steel drives well around town where most of these versions will be sold.
Pretty good review but Car and other UK websites like to push base model is best
I test drove a 4 on steel followed by turbo on air. Ride on air was much better plus you have the advantage of adjusting ride height if you go off road or on rough tracks

No regrets. I live in a place with cobblestone and some badly maintained streets and I am very happy with the air suspension. On the highway you can flick it to Sport and have more stiffness if you want.

if you can't control the damping with steel springs... air is def the way to go...
The air allows control of ride height and damping. that's a win/win

I can’t compare the Macan with air suspension and without air suspension because air suspension is standard in the US. However, I can say that I had an Audi Q7 without air suspension, and I currently have an Audi SQ7 with air suspension. The difference between the two is night and day. I will never drive another car without air suspension or any active suspension system. In my opinion, the Macan’s air suspension is better than my SQ7’s.

If you have to unload 4 20” wheels with tire on it the function to lower the back of the car is very very welcome (just did that so it’s first hand experience 🤣🤣🤣🤣)
You got all 4 in there? Nice!

Yes! At first I had some doubts but by putting the two rear wheels stacked towards the front seats and the two front wheels towards the rear window everything was there. Obviously I folded down the seats and removed the trunk protection. Luckily my tire dealer is close by so when I have to bring the 21" tires and rims home I'll make two trips.
Forgot to tale a pic; I'm going to take it when I'll go to do exchange.

If my dealer wants to rip me off for the mount I'll take it home and do it. Finally have an excuse to increase my scissors jack load rating.

That's exactly wht happened to me: I asked to have the wheels exchanged on November 15. At the beginning they say yes then (2 days later) they proposed 25 (here is mandatory to have winter tires from novembre 15) so I told them give me my wheels and I'll have them mounted by my friend who has a tire shop.

Since I'll have my tires swapped soon, I wanted to ask: you don't think the 4 x 21" tires fit in the rear + trunk?

I think @Diego meant that 4 complete wheels fit, but not 4 wheels + 4 tires
