The other day I tried to save a couple car configurations in porsche.at

1. Clicking the link that is supposed to show all the configurations does nothing.
2. I thought, ok maybe it’s not working in Safari. So I download Chrome and give it a try in Firefofox also. Same thing, seems the link is dead. I can’t see the configurations.
3. I check the iOS Porsche app. Configurations are saved to my profile.
4. I try to delete 1 config. Check the app again: all configs are gone, wtf

I’d say a company that can’t figure out how to build a reliable website in 2025, will probably struggle with more complex systems.

Is anyone able to confirm that Macan got the Cariad SW 1.2 in the end? I mean Porsche didn't build their own SW at the last minute?

If that's the case then now Cariad is maintaining SW 1.2 which presumably has branched to Macan 2025, Macan 2026, and Cayenne versions? Macan 2025 possibly being already in the critical bug fixes only mode?

Thanks. I made no mistake. I can even debug and pinpoint the issue in my browser.
I’d even send Porsche a detailed bug report with the steps to reproduce the issue, but since the multi-billion-euro company can't be bothered to test their site and doesn’t have a simple way to file a bug, I guess they’ll have to do without my free QA work

your claims are wrong as you are the only person in the world that has this problem
the good think about software / math is that it works or not

PS a little hint: are you sure that the model you try to reconfigure is still available ?

For grins I tried configurator at porsche.at and worked well... older Mac OS safari 17.1. Not sure how your firewall is setup, maybe clear cookies... etc... I'm sure you know all that.

What software Porsche uses on the website is not at all relevant to the software in the car.
What software Porsche uses on the entertainment system (Android) is not very relevant to the rest of the software in the car.
The Premium Platform Electric (PPE) that underlies the Audi e-tron Q6 and the Porsche Macan EV, is in fact based on Cariad. In addition to being a new set of software, it's also a new set of hardware -- there's more Ethernet running through the car, and less CAN bus. This makes integrating aftermarket equipment harder, and inspection of what the car is actually doing through tools like OBD-II not as rich.

I've also noticed that saving and loading saved configurations is often problematic. I often end up on a page that says something like "error 404, but the only number we know is 911". This happens both in Chrome on Windows and in Safari on iPhone for me.
