The issue seems to be that many cars are delivered with the mirror set in a total crazy position from the get go.I did see your guidance. It did not help me. You posted to move the mirror down and save the setting. On my vehicle, with the mirror moved fully outward, as I have it set for driving, I wasn’t able to tilt it down at all (go ahead, try it). I then realized it would tilt down if I first moved it inward. I then saved the setting and it works fine. I’m not sure what is extreme about that, and it certainly was necessary to get it operational.
i might have been too detailed in the description, but I was just trying to be clear.
From your regular passenger mirror setting, the power on, R drive mode, adjust all the way to what you need, save to key should just work.
I've done this procedure for many Porsches since 2006 and they all work in the same way.
Odd to find one that doesn't.
Either way you have found a method.
