VR28.13 Software Update

In my case, the assistance systems error message (a "white" one) only comes up when the assistance systems are configured to automatically adjust the cruise control speed according to speed limits and the road profile. If that is deactivated, no warnings appear. I found out by coincidence after someone had changed that setting in my car and I wondered where the frequent warnings came from. Have you guys played around with that setting as well?

I finally got my car back today after three days at the dealer. The update was completed, along with a full check-through of the car. They also fixed the passenger seat belt with a clip and took care of a few other small things. Fingers crossed this update will be kind to me šŸ™‚

I finally got my car back after over a month at service, the HVC module had to be replaced and reset along with reprograming stuff including the keys...
Very disappointing that this is what it take to get this car to the latest software, at least it was done under warranty.

My car is receiving various assistance systems unavailable messages and muting of the infotainment since the last update that was done in November. Before that update, I was receiving various messages and infotainment issues, but not so frequently.
The problem disappears after switching off the car for a few minutes, but this is NOT a solution.
I have booked an appointment for 20 Jan, but I am not very optimist that they will fix it....

However, I have NOT issues with batteries, charging or other mechanical items as other people have.

Dropped mine off this morning for the software update and various campaign fixes. While I have not had many software issues, my fingers are crossed too that the update does not create more issues… I did decline the goofy fix for the passenger seatbelt.

I completed the software updates, and I also declined the belt trick.
No problem at all,
Many improvements if someone paying attention to the details!

What details?
- Main thing I noticed is that the 360 cemera and the sensors are paired better in terms of time to reach once you approach and object especially on reverse gear.

- Brakes are more smooth the time that the car is ready to reach the complete stop position.

- Air suspension became faster.
- 5G everywhere
- Trunk is closing with more Force that before(making more sound). I don't know why they did that.
- New parcel self is (I guess insulated or margins changed) but not vibrating anymore in bad roads.
- The car stayed 6 days in the same parking as before and lost 0% state of charge.
- Heater looks responding faster as well.

I cannot tell about the assistance systems yet I haven't tried, but I never had any issues with that anyway.

All the above are based on my privet observations only.
I guess indeed this software update fixed a lot of small things which were issues for some cars but also overall improved the car in many functions.

Hi,

I can confirm that the braking is in fact smoother. I could tell the difference when the car was regen braking or using the physical brakes before the update. There was more of a looser brake pedal feel at the top when regen was happening. After the update, I really can't tell the difference and now I need to look at the center pod to see if it was actually regen. I also noticed that the rear cargo shelf does not rattle like the previous one. I never had phantom battery drain (like others have at nearly 1% per day) so I am glad that is still working. And most importantly I find the defrost on the windshield to be better which is important because the wipers and wiper design suck. Even a tiny bit of snow is enough to get stuck under the arm, which raises the wiper at the top of rotation to make the wipers float above the windshield and wipe nothing but air. The area where the wiper arms are act like a bucket that fills up with snow more than any other car that I have owned. I guess Porsche is still learning how to design for winters (both of my manual charge doors have been unable to open for days. I could understand if ice froze over the top of the doors, but there is nothing there).

I used to have a small issue with brake noise when coming to a complete stop with cold brakes that I had chalked up to the larger brake calipers and the brake compound used on the Turbo. I thought the more aggressive brake package was responsible, but this problem has disappeared with v28.13.

Contrary to others - in the UK

Despite my mobile having a good 5G signal the car’s sim is still showing 4G
Could be linked to the car not recognising 5G, only since the upgrade the nav now takes time to turn on and display - was always on when I entered before via the comfort access
Since the upgrade my car loses 1% per day stood in mild weather about 9c
I haven’t noticed any improvement in ā€˜defogging’
All in all, I see no benefit, just downsides - I was lucky in that I didn’t have loads of red or yellow warning before anyway.

Took my Turbo EV in for the software update, motorized charging door fix (was delivered not working when I placed a hand on it and was told to wait for software update), slow rear tire leak, and a few recall items (seatbelt, rear deck). Six days later I got the car back. Was handed to me in a low (39 mi) state of charge (mostly a problem because I live 90 miles from the dealership), personal sign-in inaccessible, Sirius XM in a constant state of "loading," charging door not fixed (apparently not software after all?), and rear deck not fixed (later two issues were not completed because parts were reportedly hung up in Memphis customs and not available to make the repairs).

The software update was completed, which is why the sign-in was reset and Sirius XM was not working. Service agent claimed to have fixed the sign-in issue and got the car on their charger and handed me the keys. While sitting in the car waiting for it to charge on the slow 45 kW charger, I found the sign-in was not fixed and I ultimately figured out how to do it myself. Same for Sirius XM (rebooted the PCM to get it back). The rear tire showed it was 4 lbs down after they said they found no leak and reset the TPS.

On the plus side, the air suspension no longer appears to occasionally hunt after the car comes to a halt in traffic. The speed limit sign monitor appears to be more reliable. The front window didn't fog up like it has been known to in cold weather. I didn't get any other funny notifications on the ride home. Didn't notice any real performance differences (like others have in braking, etc). And I was able to charge at an Electrify America high speed charger closer to home, and on my own home charger, without issue.

Love the car. But experiences like this sure takes some of the shine off....

Update: I have to give the service agent credit for trying to make things right, given the circumstances. Hopefully, everyone involved will learn from the experiences.

Do you have a dashcam or anything plugged in the car via usb or more directly into the LV system?

Strange.....How sure is that the dealer updated your car?Did you get any report for the works carried out in your car?
