Thanks for posting all of this @Degenatron

I haven't found a fuse that switches off after 30 minutes yet. I'll have to explore more. I did do the pre-wire so I'll sadly probably just end up using that.

Also, I blew that 1 amp fuse in the passenger door side fuse box. Good lucky finding a 1 amp in that size. Even the dealer couldn't find a replacement.

Well I finally got my cameras installed.

Went with Viofo a329. I had the pre-wiring also for the Porsche cameras. I was able to, with some modification, use the video feed wire to connect to the rear camera. It only needs this cable and not a power source much like the Blackvue.

The fuse locations were clutch as were the trim instructions. Thanks again @Degenatron

The only casualty was one of the fastening clamps on the roofliner. Hopefully that is a piece that can be replaced easily.

I've attached the image of the piece. Seems like there is a better way to remove these that doesn't involve pulling down.

The back was certainly a bit of work versus doing this on a pre-wired Cayenne (only removing one piece of trim). This involved the four panels a torx screw and a 12-point m8 screw (got a bit at O'reilly for this).

That rear hatch is like my Taycan CT. I had to pull apart the grommets to get my rear camera set up. One side unseals easily and the other clicks into place. I did a BlackVue DR970X box set up but slightly easier on the Taycan as I found BATT and ACC on the drivers side fuse box using open slots and taps. Didn’t do the pre wire for either Taycan or Macan so this will be interesting.

on the blackVue prewiring is of not much use. Seems you need to run your wires separate anyway . I chose the Prewire option for warranty issues. my SA advised it is better to get away with claims when aftermarket is installed. He told me.

I got BlackVue DR970X-2CH LTE Plus installed, but can never view recorded video clips on the phone App outside the car, only possible when I'm in the car. 🤔

I've no idea. The installer did it all by himself when I left the car there for PPF. He is used to installing the BlackVue.
He explained to me at the time there would be no load on the battery, but I can't remember now what he said then

Yes it does.
Every time I go back in the car and drive off, the camera announces, “parking mode turned off”

This is what I’m and I’m sure others are looking for. Need to find those fuses and locations.

My Taycan does this with my Blackvue.

that is a tricky one. As the Blackvue has 2 options to go into parking mode. The perfect way (ACC) that is accurate when you park. and then there is the motion detection Parking mode. That will go into parking mode when the car is still for a while. or out of parking mode when you drive off. (sufficient motion for the sensor to trigger that)

I am looking for the better (ACC) option. Thus the "hunt" for the right fuse access.
