My biggest issues/feature-requests, which are mostly software related save for one:

1. wifi connection from a mobile phone inside the car is terrible. this is after disconnecting from carplay obviously. i have to hold my phone outside the car through the window to get a signal. usually there is an antenna in the interior of most cars that help with this, but I don't think the macan has it for some reason.

2. parking assistance camera doesn't go away immediately after shifting to drive from reverse (small 3-5s delay). exiting via the X in the top left corner can make it dismiss immediately though

3. we need a play/pause function for the quick access button on the steering wheel.... otherwise just stuck with muting via clicking scroll wheel or volume knob. even better is if we can replace muting with play/pause

4. we need a lane assistance toggle for the quick access button on the steering wheel...otherwise it's unsafe to toggle it off via additional functions under the assistance tab of the car settings (3+ taps on the middle screen to navigate there)

5. apple car play doesn't show google maps on the front monitor. wish it did. it would be extra cool if the AR HUD could relay directions from google maps as well.

Some minor stuff:

1. wish there was a way to turn off all lights when parked without having to lock the car and potentially trigger the alarm if touching something from inside

2. owner manual needs to show location of fuse box for those of us that don't want to opt for installation of the porche dash cam and want hard wiring access

that's all I can think of aside from a few other things I want to make sure aren't the result of user error. it's a really great car.

These are not actual issues with the car though - they are more annoyances or a wishlist of features you’d like to have.

This thread is more about actual issues / things not working or broken. ;)

Maybe you could start a thread about features people would want in their Macan?

As @tmrqs wrote it would be better to maintain separate issues (things broken or that should work in a different way) from improvement.
I’m sure that Porsche is monitoring (been advised by my dealer) EV forum and FB EV pages to get feedback and it would be great to organize also these improvements in a categorized thread (yes, I’m an engineer 🤣🤣🤣🤣)

@Diego Eng=control freak. : )

One thing I've noticed about dealer service with this vehicle is the inclination for them to reach for a "full reset" when encountering issues. Not all my preferred settings came back after I dealt with getting the plug and charge working the other day at the dealers and it was a real PITA dealing with it on the road in heavy rush hour traffic. Logs like this are great because we can report and try solutions that are specific.

@DuckMan Unfortunately I have the same issue with plug & Charge (grayed out on the car and it doesn't work at the station - not a big problem I've got the card and the Porsche RFID key ring) and the only thing that stop me from doing a full reset is not to have everything working as now.... Maybe I'll do it when the first new software release will be available.

I'm 1500 miles and 48 hours into a road trip - I've experience only _OINE_ of these issues - which is trouble charging at EA FastDC chargers - 99% likely this is not a problem with the vehicle - rather EA is a well known sh*t-show and has been for years…I await the opening/access to the Tesla Supercharger network so that I never have to use a crappy EA charger ever again for my travels.

Problem with Tesla SuC <v4 is that you are going to charge at a maximum rate of 135 kWh, because it delivers only 400v.
It will add 10 minutes to the 10-80 charging time.

Thanks for your detailed diary @daveo4EV, there's a lot to learn and it's a different test than my 5500 km in a month. I think too that what you had it's more a problem with the charge infrastructure than with the car itself. In 3 years of superchargers with my previous Tesla I never had a single issue so it would be great if you in the US could use the Supercharger net as it's possible in Europe (even if, as @byebye wrote, with some charging limits).

EA never gives me more than 150 kW - so honestly there is no "faster" charging network in North America - and I'll lose less time at the superchargers having to try multiple stalls to find one that works…

give up this fantasy that you'll charge faster at a 350 kW EA station - that would be true _IF_ they actally work -but in the last 1600 miles and 8 EA charging stops the 350 kW stations have NEVER worked!! So Tell me again how the Tesla supercharger are slower than EA's 150 kW stations> and by how much? and even with the 150 kW stations you have to find the 1 in 4 stalls that actually work!
