Unfortunately, you are unlucky Alex. The software of the Macan is not its strongest point. I still find it strange that some cars have many software problems and others no problems at all. I have had my Macan for almost 3 months now and to date I have not had a single error message or malfunction. Fingers crossed ?

@Frankie
Agreed, same here.
Its very unfortunate for those who get completely stuck like that.
@Alex74 your best option is calling Porsche Emergency services.

I'm continuing to have the "seat belt unfastened" warning when I drive (and yes, my seat belt is fastened). Sometimes it doesn't come on at all. My last drive it was on the whole time. It's extremely annoying.

Just an update to this. I had two drives a couple of days ago where the "seat belt unfastened" warning was on the entire journey despite my seat belt being fastened. I bought a can of WD-40 contact cleaner from my local DIY store, and sprayed a generous amount into the female seatbelt buckle, and then fastened and unfastened the seat belt a few times. It immediately solved the problem and it hasn't come on since.

Hi all,

I was having this issue before the big software update a few months ago and it had been gone until yesterday. The right-sided speakers don't output music but work for system alert sounds and phone calls. Also getting all the assistance system errors like egress warning, parking assist, etc saying not functioning, visit dealership. I can compile a complete list of the assistance system failures in a follow-up post.

Also strange new finding is that charging at home overnight only charged at 3.9 kW when usually since taking delivery it's been around 9kW.

PCM reboot did nothing. Hoped leaving it off and locked throughout the day yesterday would randomly fix the issue but it's still there.

It seems the reboot with the volume button only reboots PCM but not the vehicle systems. Meaning, the center screen resets but the instrument cluster isn't affected at all and the alerts are there while the entertainment/nav systems are rebooting. Anyone know how to perform a soft reboot of the vehicle software other than just walking away and locking the car?

Thanks in advance.

I have only one small gremlin. When the car is started I get a yellow error light for the ACC on the dash. The first time I use the ACC the error light disappears and does not return during the trip when the ACC is toggled on and off depending on traffic conditions. The ACC seems to work fine but it kind of bothers me that something might be wrong with the ACC. Hope Porsche can resolve these issues.

In all fairness to Porsche I drove a Model S for 5 years and many updates were followed up with patches for newly created gremlins. The worst was when the error messages for the suspension kept chiming every few seconds because the system thought we were at a location where the suspension height was supposed to change. It got so bad one time that the car shut down the AC and controls! However, voice activation of the AC worked and then all the screen controls worked again. We are driving very complex machines.

Picked up my new 2025 EV Turbo last week with one issue that the dealer could not address. Driver side charge port door would not open reliably by hand. I am able to open it from the center screen, so took delivery of car while they discuss the problem with Porsche. Have since noticed that the door will only open after the car has been turned off and locked for more than 30 minutes. After those two criteria are met, it will open one time only by hand, but not again until the 30 minute clock has again expired. Smells like software, so awaiting big update next month.

It took me a bit to get used to it, but I noticed I must have the key very close for it to work. Good luck hope yours gets sorted out.

You can tell by our user name what our issue is. 2025 Macan 4 has been at the dealer for almost a month and neither local center or Porsche Corp can figure out why the vehicle had a total power failure and braked hard 3 times to force car to a complete stop. Got it running again and almost instantly, happened again and was able to limp it to a parking lot for flat bed. Simple google search would suggest we are not alone and something that plagued the taycan prior. Still working through local dealership and CS to come up with a solution, but as of now, we are out of the Porsche Macan EV world.

Wow. That buckle triggered me to hand back my car. Mine was with porsche for several weeks and after reassurance everything works perfectly I got the same error message within 10 min driving. Out of curiosity, do you have automatic charging flaps? Both got replaced on mine.

The WD-40 didn't actually solve the problem and it still exists. I've isolated it to one buckle in the rear. I know it's this one because if it comes on I can reach back and tap the red release button and the chimes will stop. However, it's sporadic and I'd rather avoid taking it to the dealer if I can help it as I don't want them fiddling around with my car for an issue that isn't present all the time. For example, it hasn't come back on for around a month now.

I'm amazed you were able to return your car for something which is relatively minor and presumably easy to solve with a change of seat buckle?

No, I don't have automatic charging flaps.

Problems started within first 30 days of ownership. That would have been the third faulty sensor to be replaced. Otherwise very happy with the car so reordered.

I've had more error lights on this car then I've had rest of my life combined. They all go away eventually without a dealer visit, but it's just so stupid and frustrating. otherwise great car.

ive had all of these errors multiple times:
driving assistance error - speed limit warning error - active lane keep error - error error error (happened about 5-10 times)
TPMS error - says new tires detected, and cannot get tire pressure info, eventually goes away (happened 3 time)
plug and charge error - I would say Electrify America is prob partly to blame (happens 30% of the time I try to charge)
headlight error - (happened twice)
stereo has no sound, when adjusting volume there is no volume indicator and stereo is just dead. no CarPlay sounds, no navigation sounds, and when I press the voice assistant, nothing happens. (happened twice, eventually went away)

All these errors happened separately, and all went away on their own eventually, but it is just beyond frustrating. Do I bring it into a dealer? Do I keep driving? Best car I've ever had, when it's working. Most unreliable car I've ever had, and I've had nothing but German cars.

Either pull the 12v battery connection for a couple of minutes to perform a complete systems 12v reset OR a PCM system reset (in the menus) which will reset most settings which will need to be stored again after the reset OR pull the PCM fuse.
