To disable this stupid over speed alert, even though, of course, I don’t cross the limits… well, almost 😅
But I think even that is possible to disable (untick) in the PCM somewhere., probably in assistance options.

Unlikely, it is a legal requirement in certain countries - I believe France is one of them.

But something that could be changed with Piwis… maybe!

Yes, there is a submenu to do that, you have it also on the main PCM screen in the shortcut tile (very practical by the way), but the easiest way for me is with the diamond button.
But due to European regulation, you can’t disable it forever, it’s activated when you start your car… each time.

He never said "permanently" disable it (not possible). He means disable it every time you turn the car on (which is possible).

Can I program it not to lock the door when I am parked at home?

Not at the moment. If parked in a garage/secure location you can just leave the key in the cup holder. That has been my solution. Too many times I forget something in the car and run out only to be greeted by a locked car. Frustrating for sure and what could/should be an easy programming fix. I don't have high hopes this gets pushed through as an update, TBD.

Good solution. And what I usually do when my key isn't deep in the pocket of a thick winter coat! And yes to the frustration of running out to a locked car door!!

I thought if I leave the key in the car, the car will eventually lock itself with the key inside. Sounds like this won't happen??

Has not happened to me, yet. I guess if it ever did I would/could just use the app to unlock

It won't by design, same on Taycan and other models.

If the car gets stolen while the key is inside the car my insurance would laugh in my face, and that will be all they do.

I think people here are talking about leaving the car key in the car if parked in a garage/secure location, but yes, otherwise it would be very silly : )
