New software update

Were you having some issues before the software update?
Any other improvements after the update?

No SW issues. And to be honest I haven't noticed anything since the update.

I took car in to get wing mirror indicator bulb replaced after someone dinged me (narrow London street yada yada..)

One thing I have noticed is that the compass (on the HUD and the instrument cluster) is intermittent and quite baggy. But I can't say whether this was pre or post SW as I only started viewing the compass recently.

Yours is the first UK car I have seen on here that has had the update. When was yours manufactured and did you get a recall or wa it done as you took the car in for the bulb ?

I wasn't aware of the update. Showroom informed me of the update when I was enquiring about the bulb replacement.

Yes, same here.
The first 4S and RWD Macan versions both came out at that time.

How can you check version. Can't seem to find it on screen (can only see android version)

I asked the sales guy today if my 2025 car required an update. Rec’d a call from Service and told the update was a campaign and my car booked in for a day - 30th May earliest date. They couldn't tell me what the campaign covered, just that it was a software update.

interestingly, the App said i was due for service like two weeks ago. I assumed it was because of the camera/sofware recall/update....but now it doesn't show that anymore...

Hey all,

since the new software update my 360 degree camera system has some issues. Sometimes all of the cameras fail at once, sometimes just one camera fails, sometimes one camera just flickers. Anyone else experienced this ?

Car is now with South London Porsche for a software campaign update called “extended network software update” I’m not sure what will happen after this ! I Will collect the car in the next few hours.

Had the new software installed. Don’t notice any differences. No faults or issues yet. Just that I had to reprogram my garage opener.

Update installed. I’ve not seen any difference. At least, there is no error message….

1) ASA3 CAMPAIGN
RE-PROGRAM REVERSING CAMERA CONTROL UNIT AND, IF NECESSARY,
REPLACE REVERSING CAMERA AND SURROUND VIEW CAMERAS.

I guess it is too soon to tell and maybe some of what I noticed is subjective. But I think the reverse camera is showing better resolution. My camera was not replaced so it must be software related. I also have noticed better numbers on my 12v battery. Before it showed 12.4v-12.6v when the car was parked and off and now it is showing 13.4v-13.6v. I have also noticed better range but that could be due to the warmer weather. I have not had any error messages but I didn’t have this problem before.

EXCELLENT list of features that bring meaningful improvement to the Tesla experience and no reason why other EVs shouldn’t have these. I’d add a few more:

- Ability to set pre heat/cool temperature
- View cameras from iPhone app
- MUCH better map experience (worth repeating)
- Route planning does screw up / stop charging
- No stupid errors showing up (that magically go away in a few minutes, hours, or next day). There are whole separate threads about this.

While not a SW differences but worth mentioning:

- Clueless dealerships

- NACS connector is much superior than J1772. My wife (she has the Tesla), when she saw the J1772 connector, she laughed so hard.

- Tesla supercharger network is much more superior and chargers almost always work vs. say Electrify America. And many many months after the VW/Tesla deal announcement, Porsches can still only charge at those superchargers that have magicdock. I would be willing to sacrifice EVERYTHING in the lists above just to get access to all Tesla superchargers.

And yet it comes with a bad brand reputation and the risk of been vandalize. No thanks I changed my Tesla’s for good, perhaps in 10 years Tesla’s new owners it would be remembered as Porche dark days in 1939

I cannot set temperature from my iPhone app anymore, either scheduled, or instant. It just won’t send to car, and gives error . Porsche customer service says 2 campaigns (updates) are available and to contact local service center. Local service center says no guarantee the update will fix this issue and one out of three cars are getting bricked when applying this update, so they are recommending I deal with the temperature setting issue until Porsche Gets the kinks resolved. Interesting.

Hi, can you help me where I can find the numbers on the 12v battery?
