Weird Smoke and Burning Smell from Air Vents in My Macan 4 – Anyone Else?

Absolutely, this is my first Porsche but also my 34th car so I tried almost every brand and never found a perfect one. I used all my car as a work instrument so it has to work as expected and for now my Macan works as expected, with the a nice consumption and with few software glitches (nothing that a reboot can’t solve). Your issue worried me but it never happened so… as I wrote maybe I’m just lucky…

I read everyday on this forum about people having same issues I experienced: buggy ACC and other related sensors, windows that opens or not close … definitely not the Porsche quality that you expect

But like @Diego, I can’t say I have issues with the car, I freakin’ love it!

Absolutely, a few dozen (?) people raise issues about their car, some are legit problems and some are user errors.
But the forum currently has over 11k (!) members… and people don’t post when they’re happy.
This hopefully helps put things in perspective: most people are happy with their car.

Enjoy your new Cayenne, and if you have a build sheet/window sticker, I’d love to take a look at your new toy!

I agree 100% with you! Honestly I’m not also satisfied of the range… if they will do a Macan Hybrid (and solve the other small issues) that’s the definitive car to buy in my opinion!!!

I do not have a sticker, I’ll pick it up on Friday! But! I have the contract picture (and I Google translated all the optionals for you!)

I’m not going to have back my car.

“A component is missing due to lack of raw materials and will take months before your car will be repaired”… a super bullshit that will basically cover the fact that there is a defective component that MUST be rebuilt from scratch.

Now I’m pretty mad… I can’t get my money back and I don’t want to spend min 20K more to buy a Cayenne or whatever else…

Piter, while my car was double checked at the car dealer I got a Taycan and I really loved it, If I was in your situation I would really consider it, just in case youwant a change after all.

And here we go! At the end of the story I will be missing the Macan EV, but unfortunately I would say we are not ready yet (in my opinion). I will give a shot to the Macan once again in 2 generations.

Porsche as always successfully satisfied their client expectations, even if there were some troubles with the car and almost no communication about what was the actual issue…

I’m thankful about the fact that wasn’t my first Porsche and that definitely it’s not gonna be my last one!

Hope you guys all to not have problems with your Macan and that mine will serve as “recall” for all the others facing same issue I had. I’m sure Porsche will fix it in a 6 months time window… just give them time to re-make the faulty component… I’m sure they do a 50/50 production from 2 different partners for that specific faulty component and that’s why some of “us” had the issue and some others not!
