I think I‘ve understood the point.

Apparently, the actual fix is not a firmware fix, it’s just a new version of the data map which seems able to be installed OTA. My guess is that there were a problem with units / mph / kph in the data, or lack of unit/values.
This is my conclusion thanks to Audi Q6 forums.
Is there a way to know the data map version in the PCM (there is in the Q6 MMI)?
Map updates for the PCM will include this stuff and will be OTA - expect these regularly and each are welcomed as the also carrying new EVSE location updates as well.

My turn: assistance system warnings, so no ACC and all that security stuff
The notification asks me to clean the sensors “capteurs encrassés, nettoyer le capteur” but everything is clean.

I’ve tried to reboot (30s volume push), close the car, wait a long time, and so on.
When I start the car, the warnings appear again within 10s. I didn’t try (yet) the factory reset.

Any advices?

I guess the better option is to refer the issue to the dealership.
I did the same, as my Plug & Charge is greyed out on the PCM, and they have referred the matter to Germany, as factory reset the dealership did, did not work. However, no issues like the one you mention (so far)

Interesting…
I had exactly the same problem today after my car being jet washed. Camera, windscreen were all cleaned and dry. I’m not sure what happened.. But everything is back to normal after 1 hr.

I’m seeing the speed limit display warning message, and also now data connectivity in the car to the cellular network.

I didn’t drive the car for a couple of days, then went out in it and have these issues:
  • No cellular data connection
  • Speed limit display warning
  • GPS showing the car in the wrong location (off by about 1/4 mile)
  • iPhone app not showing up to date info (likely because car has no data connection)
I tried restarting the PCM, switching the guest user then back to mine (quickly, I didn’t turn off the car.)

Not sure what to try. I opened a case with PCNA thinking it might be all related to the data connection being lost and something they can do with Verizon on their end. After reading this, I’m guessing I might have to take it to the dealership.

I've had my 4s for 3 week now. I'm getting the "Assistance Systems Error" and "Headlight Control Error" intermittently.

Upon start up I will either:
Have no messages and no messages come on for the entire trip. All assistance features work perfectly for the trip. The car behaves exactly as it should.

Or....about every 4-5 times I start the car...get these messages within a few seconds of starting the car. They will stay on for the entire trip. I lose all the assistance functions for the trip: blind spot, cruise control, traffic sign recognition, lang change assist, warn and brake, auto high beams.

I've done a factory reset but that hasn't solved the problem.

I now cross my fingers each time I start the car to see if these message appear

I've had my 4 for a few weeks now and have had the "Assistance Systems Error" a couple of times. Happened yesterday on start up. Drove about a mile and I stopped, shut off the system and restarted. Still had the error but it cleared itself in a couple of minutes. Clearly a software bug in there somewhere. And this is after I had the car reloaded with the recall software from the dealer. Saw the same problem before the recall too.

yeah, it happened to me like 2 days after taking delivery. It happened on my way to an appt. When i came out 15 minutes later, the alerts were gone, and they haven't come back since...

I also got the Assistance Systems warning and 6 other related errors two days after delivery of my 4S, so it’s been back at the dealership for the past week.

I suggest that anyone getting these intermittent warnings bring their vehicles to their dealership for repair. The service advisor told me that these errors are likely to recur unless the software is updated and/or a controller part is replaced. I’ll provide an update on the fix once my repairs are complete and I pickup my car.

Please let us know what they do. I'm somewhat skeptical that it's hardware related. If it's a software update, find out the release number...my dealer was pretty useless in knowing anything about software updates. One would think that the recall update would be the latest and include the latest bug fixes...but maybe not. The recall software did not solve this at all.

I got my car back from service after about a week. As you suspected, the fix was purely software related. They performed several software updates and a factory reset.

I’ve been out of town but will have a chance to see if any further issues arise now that I’m back home.

I've had no further issues now for a couple of weeks. This might just a new car issue...things might need to get fully exercised before everyone gets happy. User error could be part of it...I discovered the little button under the speed set lever that turns off the assistance feature...it would come and go and I blamed the software...but know I know if I push that it will go away. There are too many menus and ways to set and re-set stuff, so its somewhat difficult to know the best ways.

If only there was some kind of document that listed the features, buttons and what they do, like some sort of manual, it would make things much easier…
