Taycan CT GTS, 992 4s Cab, Macan EV Turbo ordered

No I was saying that the seatbelt noise is the only noise I found in the car since I picked up ;)
I ordered exactly the one in the link you posted.
Mine sits at Alcatara so no noise…
About road noise it is a bit louder than my Taycan that had insulated glasses but no complaints, if fact it is a verybquiet ride unless when on concrete highways

I suppose I could move the buckle up to where the alcantara is…will try that. It came with the little holder-bar set about 10cm below the transition to plastic.

I am very familiar with this very useful clip, I have one on most of my cars. All of my BMW's have or have had this in some form or design, usually for both the driver and the passenger. Some implementations are adjustable, some are at a fixed point. All are designed to keep the seatbelt at a minimum height for each access when reaching back. They also help to keep the seatbelt in a position that can prevent rattling against the B pilar while diving and not in use.

I searched Porsche parts and accessories to file the clip. You can buy another and use it on the driver's side if you want. I am surprised - is it possibly missing? I have not yet taken delivery of my Macan to confirm - it is scheduled for the coming week.

If anyone else that has already taken delivery of their Macan can confirm - is this only included for the passenger side? If so, I may order one myself for the driver.

Porsche part on Suncoast: SKU: SKU99BELTCLIP

Cost: $9.00

I confirm you that (after checking 8 Macan EV) the clip is only on passenger seatbelt. Thanks for the precious information. Now I have to find where to buy it on this side of the pound…

I moved the passenger belt buckle up to where the alcantara starts and that took care of the noise. Easy, but we'll see how it works when people start sitting there and move the buckle.

Thanks for sharing the part number @KAMichael

I'll have to get one for the driver side! The B pillar is indented to give you space to reach the buckle, mine is well below the indentation of the B pillar. Kind of annoyed with this quality control.

Took delivery this morning of my Ice Gray Turbo. Overall, very happy with it and find it a big improvement on the traded-in Taycan. First, some impressions:

  • - The UI is far more crisp and responsive than in the Taycan. It looks similar enough that you might think the center stack (sorry for the old school terminology) has the same roots, but it's a mile ahead. Most of the menus are similar too, so navigating around to find something shouldn't be a challenge if you're coming from a newer Porsche.
  • - The driving dynamics are great, but I've found myself being more careful heading into curves when I probably don't need to be. This may be due to the seating position, which while very comfortable, is much higher off the ground than I'm used to.
  • - Four-wheel steering is a bit of a game changer; the increased stability is noticeable at highway speeds and I have a much improved k-turn to back into my driveway. First time doing it I nearly clipped a wall as the turning radius was far tighter than I was expecting. 5% doesn't sound like much but it's a big impact.
  • - I took the 21's and the road noise is...noisy. I was actually surprised at what I was hearing in-cabin, but I'll give it a few trips before judging.
  • - I have innodrive, but can't activate it as it says "Adaptive Cruise Control not available, Driver's seatbelt unfastened". Opened ticket with dealer.
  • - The passenger belt buckle does a good job of hitting the inside of the b-pillar and making an awful racket during normal driving. I'll probably find some felt tape to add to the leading edge.
  • - There are still some software issues, especially with the integration with the IOS app. I haven't been able to activate Plug and Charge nor add the car to the apple maps ev routing module. The former might just be the back end needing to sync after I activated the charging card only an hour or so prior.
  • - The footwells are much wider than in the taycan, so my muscle-memory leg position is about 4" off.

That's about it so far...I really like the color and deleted all the exterior turbonite painted bits (except for the front airblades...missed that one and it will annoy me). Again, overall it made a great first impression.
I had the same Plug and Charge issue, but my SA worked with Porsche and provided a set of steps that resolved the issue for me.

Warning, my steps included a factory reset which meant I had to start from scratch with my car, losing every setting in the process.

Until I ran through the steps, I got an authentication error when trying to activate Plug & Charge from the Macan’s charging settings. I don’t know if the same steps will be required for you, but know that there is now a working set of steps. …And your SA should be able to get them.

I will share, but please confirm with your SA. I don’t know if these are ”official”

1. Perform a factory reset in the PCM
2. Log back into the PCM and keep the car ON
3. Now log back into the My Porsche app and activate the Plug-and-Charge certificate

It is a bit tricky finding the factory reset. I think it’s in the settings app.. Allow at least a half hour and you may want to take pics of any setup you’ve done. As I previously stated, you will start from scratch setting up your car. Good luck if you choose to follow these steps and please have a backup plan.
