I am commuting 75km one way each day. I will take the other highway home today (which is much more busy) - max speed 140km/h but there will be frequent braking and acceleration (usually between 120-140km/h) as per the traffic flow. I am sure consumption will be lower as regen is quite effective from my experience over the last 3 weeks. Will share update tonight.
So, I did more normal highway driving. 40km at an average of 135km/h. Max speed 140km/h, I just let ACC manage following the traffic flow. Consumption indicated on my dashboard was 23.2kWh/100km. So as expected, regen is making the car much more efficient.

wife took the car yesterday - many many activities all over silly-con valley…impressive consumption…

Electric Macan EV Real consumption / range / efficiency thread … post your Macan EV performance 📊 IMG_2434

all sort of driving - including a trip over/back Hwy 17 which is twisty and uphill/downhill…

3.7 miles/kWh - well I'll take that - that's almost Model 3/Chevy Bolt level's of efficiency - and my wife "just drives" - she's not a car girl so doesn't care or pay attention - she's just does her thing and wants the car to "just work"…

2.7 mi/kwh in 42 degree weather isn’t terrible…. Your expectations might be a bit…optimistic. In summer I would expect you to see 3.x + mi/kwh

Hello everyone,

(Sorry for my english, I'm French).

I'll have my brand new Macan 4S (Volcano grey, 21 macan design aero wheels) on friday morning so I still believe Santa exists...

My first trip will be a 750KM trip of highway right out of the dealer's and I'm a little afraid (first EV and I'l be with my 3 kids!).

Can I expect a 23kw/100km consumption (it's a little cold this days) or am I far from realty ?

Thanks for your advise !

(P.S. : I'll do my full presentation when I have the car !)

at 130 km/h and colder it will be higher I guess, today at 10C average speed 100km/h over 175km (120 1/3 100km/h speed limit 2/3) 22kwh/100km on 20 inch wheels from 4S, car is a turbo
My guess is 26, please let us now!

Cold weather is bad for consumption, but water is *particularly* bad for consumption, as it is for ICEs too.

I can not wait for warm/hot, sunny, dry pavement weather to return for most here, and to read trip reports of good Macan 22 range results — even when coupled with 22“‘s when driving a Turbo. It is unfortunate that most of our early posted results are for comparatively poor weather, vehicles that are new and thus not fully broken in, and similar.

Also dont forget that break regen will most likely be off as the car is brand new. That will definitely decrease the range in the beginning.

I did not experience that, nor did I see a drop in consumption … I think it’s really something Taycan owners experienced and feel they see with the Macan as well, but “new” Macan owners did not report this. Though some cars will see lower consumption when tyres are used for about a 1000km’s … but as mentioned I could not observe this …

Interesting, I‘m quite sure I read this somewhere in this forum. Personally have not gotten my vehicle yet so I rely on others.

Dun dun DUNNNNNN..

4S results for ya'll. Will update regularly.

Trip home, Seattle to Vancouver. 20" wheels. 42-44 degrees. Mostly 80 mph and 74 mph with some slower stretches. Zero regen active yet.

Not bad!! 50% for the car's first 125.9 miles.

My R1S had 1.96 mi/kWh on the way down, same route.

Ordered Macan 4
Country flag
I have just ordered a 4 so have no real experience of the car. One question I have is - when I test drove a 4 the range increased from 250 to 300 when I put the ac / heating on Eco Plus. I looked for this function as my Lexus RZ is exactly the same. My question is - what ac / heating do you think the majority of users have on when reporting actual range achieved and is the say 50 mile improvement real ?
The RZ has radiant heaters and using those with heated seats the Eco heating is more than enough - is the Eco Plus in the Macan ok for the relatively mild weather we have in the UK - that said it’s going to -3c this weekend.
I would appreciate your thoughts on this.
