2025 Macan Turbo Electric

After months of wait, I finally picked up my 2025 Macan Turbo today. Specs-wise:
  • Ice Grey Metallic exterior, no badges
  • Black/Turbonite interior
  • 21” Michelin on Turbo rims
  • Sport Chrono package
  • Rear Axle Steering
  • Innodrive with ALK
  • A few other minor things
I didn’t have too much time at the dealership to take pictures, had to dash back to beat the traffic - a little over 100 miles to get home.

Still spent 15ish minutes setting the car to my liking, playing with the plethora of options in the PCM. This thing is snappy, very pleased!

During that time, I also got to marvel at how nice the Turbonite accents are: I really didn’t like them outside but inside, it really works.

I didn’t opt for the full leather package and am very happy with the result as is, it’s definitely premium to me - glad I didn’t spend the extra $2k.

The central console in high gloss looks great but marks like crazy, I already ordered a protective film from Suncoast: it’s a must have.

Battery was charged at 99% and when I sat in the car and turned the engine on, the guesstimated range was 280.

By the time I was ready to go (so about 20 minutes later), it was showing 298 miles of range. Maybe had I waited another 15 minutes, the range would have broken 300 miles? 🙃

Right off the bat, the car is very agile: navigating out of the parking lot was eye opening, the car needs very little space to do u-turns. Similarly entering my garage tonight, I had to adjust the steering wheel as I was getting close to the wall much quicker than I’m used to.

The lane change at speed didn’t wow me as much, at least not yet - I will need to put more miles on the car to get a good sense.

Speaking of speed, no launch control for now, I had a friend following in another car and so mostly behaved.

I was however surprised on a couple occasions that I was going north of 80mph - you do *not* feel the speed at all in this car. From a standstill (toll booth), the acceleration is powerful and you get to 75mph in the blink of an eye. But also in traffic, being stuck behind a truck and then switching lanes to overtake it, the pull is delightful!

No chance to really test twists and turns - but getting close to home, there is essentially a very long U-turn exiting the turnpike and this one, at speed, was superb. I felt very confident going faster than usual and I could almost hear the car going “is that all you got?”… promising.

One weird issue however: I tried to engage the adaptive cruise control but it wouldn’t let me because the seatbelt wasn’t fastened. It obviously was. After stopping the car once home and restarting it, the issue went away. I’ll have to keep an eye on this one.

Lastly, I got home with 193 miles of guesstimated range left after driving just shy of 103 miles. That would mean 296 total instead of the initial 298 guesstimation - pretty close.

67% SOH at arrival means I used 32% of battery = about 30.4 kWh. That puts me over 3.3 mi/kWh (!).

Granted I had slow moving traffic for a long stretch towards the end… but I also had sustained stretches at 75-80mph.

The above:
  1. On a TURBO
  2. That had 17 miles on the ODO when I took the keys (therefore limited regen)
  3. Running on 21” Michelin all-season wheels
  4. In temperatures ranging between 41 and 38 F.
To say that I am very happy with these first results is an understatement…

Won’t be able to drive it for a couple days now and these are obviously just first impressions, to be validated and challenged with a lot more miles on the car. But I’m very optimistic and truly enthused with the car so far!

Well done Porsche, well done.

Enjoy it, welcome in the IG club!
Beautiful spec: the way the IG side blades change the general look is stunning!
It would be nice to have some interior pictures ☺

I had the same adaptive cruise unavailable due to seatbelt not buckled error yesterday.

I stopped at a traffic light, hit the start/stop button, opened and closed the driver door for good measure, and it went away. Hopefully not something that happens regularly, but more concerning to see it in another car as well.

Amazing ride and first impressions. Please keep in mind that the car has to break in, including tires, brakes for Regen, and more accurate consumption. I certainly would not be doing any launches until the break in period per manual is complete.

An almost perfect spec 👌 Just kidding, looks great! Definitely curious to hear more about InnoDrive, I'm not yet at the point where I regret not having it, but you never know.

This. I've been passing cars on the highway a few times, thinking why is everyone so slow? Turns out I was the one going fast. You get to 80mph without really trying.

Impressive, especially given the current temperatures!

I guess this could make a compelling argument for the HUD, so you always see the speed in front of you. Feeling envious of the autobahn right now...

I was very surprised too, especially given all the feedback gathered here.

With the remaining battery (67% = 63.65 kWh) and guesstimated range (193mi), I would still be right over 3 mi/kWh... who knows, maybe they gave me an extended battery? 🥳

More testing to come!

I'd say, traffic around NYC is actually quite slow on average. On a fluid highway, I do ~2.9mi/kWh.

We have similar taste! I have the acoustic glass, no rear wiper.

At first I wasn't sure about Ice Grey but man when the sun starts to go down it looks fantastic!

I love the 22" RS Spyder Design wheels painted gloss black, but the cost didn't make sense and I think the 21 Turbos are a good fit. Will probably get some 21"s later -- hoping ICE Macan wheels fit.

Would definitely recommend PPF if you haven't done so already.

I'm 500 miles in so far.

@tmrqs Congrats!! Not feeling the at 80 mph in a Turbo? I don’t even feel like I’m going 100 mph (Mexico) in my Macan 4, LOL. I noticed it because the spoiler becomes visible in the mirror at that speed in normal mode!

And a couple of pics to go with.

Absolutely lovely build. The selection of body-colour matched mirrors and side blades, along with a clean roof line (no roof rails) pushes the look towards coupe and away from SUV --- which is exactly what I was going for with my Frozen Blue Turbo build. I also spec'd the lower rear fascia trim in body colour -- a nice no cost (yeah, right, no cost... :CWL:) custom look. I splurged for the 22 Macan Sport wheels for summer but my winter wheel package will have the 21 Turbo wheels (like yours). We have very similar tastes!

I was told today that my car is expected to arrive at the dealership tomorrow. Can't believe the wait is nearly over.

Exactly- body color all around (including the lower rear fascia) looks very good! And with the car in the lowest position, it doesn’t feel like a SUV much anymore, while retaining the SUV benefits in terms of room.

We both had to wait quite a bit to get our cars, happy yours is almost here too!

Does anyone know if adjusting your build/spec’s delays delivery once the SA has submitted your order or can I change it all I want until the freeze date?
