Wow clean install! Any more pics of the front? Just curious to see how much of the cord is able to be hidden vs say the fitcamx

Thanks
Here are a few more from other angles. It is not fully concealed. But my main concern was that is out of my view. And not drawing much attention in the first place and I think that is achieved.

Here is my BlackVue install. 3ch front back and interior. Also with remote LTE and additional battery to take less of a strain on the interior. It also shuts off if needed when the voltage goes below 12V. To make sure the car will still operate just in case the dashcam depletes the interior.
I’m interested in installing a Blackvue dashcam as well in my 4S. I was considering the DR970X 2-ch LTE Plus although I saw this recent video from CES 2025 mentioning that Blackvue is likely to release a new product line in April.

I want to view the camera remotely when parked for days at the airport but concerned about draining the 12v battery. Ideally it would connect directly to ACC, perhaps using the OEM prewiring, but I’ve heard that this may invalidate the Porsche warranty. A knowledgeable rep from BlackBoxMyCar recommended against using the Blackvue external battery but said I would have to unplug the dashcam if parked for over a day.

Any installation recommendations for long-term remote viewing? Unfortunately none of the recommended local shops in my area have any experience installing dashcams in the Macan EV.

it seams based on the blackvue model the draw could go up to 1/2 amp. And with small 12v EV batteries that could be true. if i leave my car unattended for 24h the voltage drops below 12v and then it goes into the area where it gets tricky. i have the extra B130x battery from blackvuue and that one will add 6-12 more hours of operation. I wish we could add a larger 12v batterie. Or Lithium with Protection like i have in my M3 Antigravity Battery

Posting my results so far. I found this thread when searching, so I want to post on the info I have discovered. I read too many posts about this and taycan forums for install of dashcams.
I am installing a Viofo A329 2 channel. I have no pre installed Porsche dash cam wiring, so I was on my own. My solution was to put the ACC wire on the cigrette lighter from the center console. I pulled it completely and hooked up the smallest fuse into the socket. I can post pictures if folks want it. I am testing the parking mode now, but I will be evaluating the behavior and will report back.

Some pictures of the wiring I did. I ran a long run over to the center console from the passenger fusebox through the loose fitting panels in the passenger footwell. Center console side plate just pops off and after removing a foam piece the plug for the cigarette lighter is accessible. It took some coaxing to get it to unplug (squeeze the black part and pull up). I used a smaller fuse that fit into the socket and zip tied them together. I don't plan on using the cigarette lighter ever, so I won't miss it. I may still go back later and splice in instead though.

also here is how I wired my power in the fuse box:

If the info we have on previous vehicles is correct, this slot is carrier 6 number 8 which may be the rear AC controls.
